I think advanced locomotive audio settings should be introduced either in the form of 0-100% audio sliders or in the form or options raging from realistic volumes all the way down to a quieter volumes. This can apply specially for steam locomotives to adjust safety valves, chuff audio and or whistle audio to suite the players immersion preference. As well as advanced audio settings for steam locomotives I think a range of sound packs should also be introduced allowing third party developers to distribute sound packs to patch the (mediocre in my opinion) dtg sounds to allow more lifelike audio of locomotives and rolling stock (although this second part is all the more less likely but a fun idea nonetheless).
