If I can also piggyback on this thread, I can’t find the actual switch on the desk to enable it, had to use the KB Ctrl-R command.
It's not on the desk, the AFB buttons are on the wall behind the drivers seat. You have to push the AFB Ein/Aus button and a mode selector (V soll Freigabe, 25km/h Rangieren, 10 km/h Ausfahrt Hallengleis, 5 km/h Einfahrt Hallengl., 2 km/h Waschgang) to enable it.
Thanks Shimarin. I did wonder about the buttons on the rear console but assumed they were just fuses or circuit breakers.
Another thing I noticed is that turning the afb switch off in the back and setting afb to 0 does not actually turn off afb. You also have to put the throttle into 0 for it to actually turn off
