It's funny how developers don't know how to fix their own product. With the fix it works on all versions above v72.3b.
If you look on the AHS Website you would see they have stopped with TSC and their products are now Freeware. Maybe they could not fix it.
Not to be offensive at all, but AHS has done it before with the TGV Atlantique, there are bugs ; they dip, they come back. it's a vicious circle and a routine for them at this point to just leave when it becomes too "hard"
But what is the fix? Yes your video shows it working on 77.6b but how was it actually fixed? Not to sound completely dumbfounded but how is anyone supposed to take anything away from your experience if you say there's some magical fix in your video but keep it completely to yourself? What's to gain?
Hey All Im am trying to get this running on an older version of TSC using Spikee's method of installing previous versions, I can get them to run successfully but I cant get Ashford Lille to work, using Logmate it just keeps saying 'Failed to create instance of script' Has anyone had any success getting it to work in this manner, I have tried versions 72.3b and the one prior to that 72.0(something)
A free patch is in WIP to fully operate the Lille - Ashford & Channel Tunnel Route with Class 9000 and Class 373 itself, but I don't know if it will be ready today, tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. The priority at the moment is another project with financial purposes. But there are always big babies crying who do nothing with their lives and spend all day wandering around. To conclude, I dared to do this patch because I like this route, I always watch videos and they AHS Railworks gave it to us for free now.
With your patch I presume the 373 only works on the Ashford - Lille route with the TVM being different to DTG? At least with the other patch from BTS you can drive the Eurostar anywhere - it sees TVM on the routes so fitted. And it works very well and it less flaky than the default version where the voltage controls needed to be just in the right sweet spot.
Sorry I don't mean any offence. Was just because since I had spent time making a pack that runs the 373 model off a TGV Duplex script, I didn't want to find out that your solution was simple and elegant enough that I had effectively wasted my time trying an alternative. I'm a bit of a rubbish person really in that I take underachievement and making unnecessary work for myself very personally. But that's nothing to do with you. On the other hand I can't go back on what I've done so far as I've now got the attention of a european developer who wants to make new sounds for it if I introduce some new scripting features.
I used Spikee's method and have Ashford Lille route working on v72.3b -- perhaps you should download the route again, and re-install it.
I have an idea that might work assuming all developers can reach an agreement. What if you (And the sound dev) join forces with the creator of this fix? That way we might get the best. New sounds, liveries, original cab, potentially new features?
And if you read the bit at the bottom of the first post you will see that won't happen - unless he gets Paid. As the Fix by Xavier (BDTS) works very well and so much better than the original AHS version is there much point?
Don't get me wrong, the BDTS patch is a good interim patch to at least make the 373 driveable again alongside the liveries but my big main gripe is having to use the Duplex cab model.
What is wrong with the Duplex cab? It is similar to the Eurostar cab and the AWS works for those who run the Eurostar in the UK And it sees the TVM on HS1 and French routes - which the AHS version did not.
