Can someone please help me out. What’s the proper way when you come to the last stop to turn it off. It seems every time I finish and then just go on foot when it comes time for the AI to take over it doesn’t and the train just sits there. It happened to me at Rainham with the 700, also on the BML same. I tried different ways to turnoff the cab and nothing . I’m doing something wrong
You have to get out of the seat and wait for the message "Do you want to give up this service?" However, when the service ends, if you get out of the seat before the service ends, and never get into the seat, before the next service starts, the AI should take over.
yea I tried both and didn't work . Don't seem to get the message.no matter what. I tried getting off the seat before ending and still didn't work. I even tried taking over another service to forse the AI to take over that service I left and nothin. You see an AI driver but he just sits there. So this wouldn't matter if you just end the service and go back to the home screen. But I like to explore around after I'm done with a service but right now It breaks imersion since after awhile trains just start stacking since that train i left still sits. Is probably I'm not shutting down the train properly or something
I don't think it is your fault. AI drivers can overpower even the strongest of enhanced emergency braking (I tried it on London Commuter!). I don't often explore like you so I can't help much from here unfortunately.
Hopefully I can learn what the trick is. If i remember correctly I use to be able to finish a service, walk around, take a different train and not have any issues with the service I just left. but seems lately that unless is a train that's heading off to a portal the AI doesn't take it over. Sorry to tag you DTG Matt but when you get a chance, I'm one of those players that likes to stay with the same game throughtouit many hours and see them come and go.
Normally at the end of a service I'll just switch off the safety systems and leave everything else on and then get off the train after returning to freeroam.
I tried again both ways and still not working for me. I guess will have to end it and not go to free mode and just go to timetable mode.
