"Experience one of the most iconic high-speed journeys in the world — from London to Paris — in Train Sim World!"

    ---

    Post:
    Dear Dovetail Games Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I would like to propose an expansion idea that could bring tremendous value to Train Sim World — both in terms of player engagement and potential revenue growth.

The suggestion is to introduce the full historic Eurostar route from London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord, with key stops at Ebbsfleet International, Ashford International, and Lille Europe. This would offer players the complete high-speed experience across both the UK and France, including the Channel Tunnel itself.

This UK–France link could be offered as a premium Eurostar DLC priced around £40, featuring the iconic Class 373 and including Le Shuttle services through the Channel Tunnel for added variety and realism.

    Journey overview:

    London St Pancras International (start)

    Ebbsfleet International (stop)

    Ashford International (stop)

    Channel Tunnel

    Calais (pass through)

    Lille Europe (stop)

Paris Gare du Nord (final destination)

Additionally, there is the opportunity to later expand this into Belgium (Brussels) and the Netherlands (Amsterdam) to create even more exciting high-speed international services.

    Benefits to Dovetail Games:

New Player Base: This DLC would attract a much wider audience, especially from France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, who have strong interest in Eurostar and high-speed rail travel.

Increased Revenue: A full London–Paris Eurostar DLC could become a flagship premium product, encouraging both loyal and new players to invest heavily in Train Sim World.

Long-Term Expansion Opportunities: Opens the door for future European expansions, creating ongoing DLC possibilities and player engagement.

Strengthened Brand: Adding realistic, iconic international routes would significantly enhance Train Sim World’s reputation as the leading train simulation platform.

Meeting Player Demand: High-speed, cross-border travel has been requested for a long time by the community. This DLC would fill a major gap and offer a truly unique experience.

Bonus Features to Enhance the Experience:

Accurate Channel Tunnel Simulation: Unique tunnel lighting, special speed limits, and realistic tunnel sound effects to truly capture the experience.

Class 373 High-Speed Train: Full functionality including dual-voltage operation (switching from UK to French electrification).

Le Shuttle Services: Option to operate the vehicle transport services through the tunnel for more gameplay variety.

Custom Announcements: Realistic English and French station and onboard announcements to enhance immersion.

Route-specific Scenarios: High-speed services, adverse weather conditions in the tunnel, busy passenger operations at St Pancras and Gare du Nord.

Dynamic Weather and Time of Day: Experience sunrise in London, sunset in Paris, and variable tunnel conditions (fog, rain outside).

International Signalling Systems: Include realistic UK (AWS/TPWS) and French (TVM) signalling changes along the route.

Full Passenger Experience: Busy terminals, realistic crowding at major stops like Lille and Gare du Nord.

Career Mode and Timetable Mode: Full timetables with real-life Eurostar services from past and present years.

Future-Proof for Expansion: Easy to extend to Brussels, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam in future DLCs.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I believe this full Eurostar expansion could be a major success for Train Sim World and I look forward to seeing what amazing developments come next.

    Kind regards,
    [Ali Raja]

If there was a way to quick jump from one side of the tunnel to the other I might be interested in a route like this. I wouldn't be interested in staring at a tunnel for 30 mins and I doubt many others would either.

Yes but not a part I, and apparently many others, would enjoy.

I still remember the 10km long tunnels some TSC routes have. Realistic, but not enjoyable.

I would love to see it, even with a boring 50 km tunnel. Apparently it takes 19 minutes at a maxspeed of 160 kph.

They've already said no. Eurostar refuse to allow a license.

The high speed line out of St. Pancras feels quite weird without any Eurostar, given that was the specific purpose as to why HS1 was built. I wouldn't mind an unbranded Class 373, though I'd ideally like third rail mode to work, even though the shoe gear was removed after services to Waterloo were discontinued.

Personally, given they put the TGV on for a few seasonal services, I wouldn't have minded if they used that to represent Eurostar services instead.

It's not Eurostar, or the 373/374, but I'd say better than nothing.

That doesn’t surprise me. Coming from Ashford, we are not the biggest fan of them since they abandoned us and ceased services to the town. There’s some hope Richard Branson will save the day if Virgin manage to get a service up and running and some much needed competition.

This would be good if they would add in an AI unbranded Eurostar livery as HS1 does feel empty, I like SEHS but avoid the HS section because it feels a little lifeless

Not possible as TSW works off real world coordinates and terrain data.

Then in addition to Eurostar licensing, SNCF have declined to cooperate with DTG as regards any further French routes or trains in the game.

Plus the drive itself is going to be pretty boring, SKW demonstrated that.l

Then what do you want? Or don't buy the route? Skipping a tunnel is a complicated feature to be coded into a specific DLC
