I may get some hate mail here, but this game is really starting to pee me off with the issues which are happening. I never had these issue with TSW3?. This is poor, its very frustrating, annoying and I am very slowly losing my patience as a paying customer with things not being fixed. 1. I had to reset all my achievements etc, what routes I have played because TSW4 corrupted my database. This happened on an internal PS4 drive, and an external SSD PS4 drive TWICE! 2. The BSOD on various routes after coming out of photo mode (15 times now) 3. Holding down the buttons to enter photo mode in cab, sometimes this is not working. 4. After saving a game, and reverting to it, the weather is different. 5. When going into the in game gallery, the loading times are very very slow, and also loading out of sync to the date and time history. When I have deleted pictures in the gallery, it sometimes deletes the WRONG ones. 6. No fog at Preston when it has been selected. Issues from previous TSW items from the past which have never been fixed. 1. Looping sounds on the class 47 horn and other locos. 2. When in the cab of the Class 31 with the window open, you have to face the AWS to hear the horn!. 3. Passengers still walking onto the tracks on BCC 4. When reverting from saved game on BCC. the destination on the 323 is blank 5. When loading a saved game on GWR 166. The signals are green but the AWS warning goes off Why have these previous issues the I know off, have never been fixed, I bet there are others too. Sorry for my rant, but as times are hard for a lot of people, why should I pay for something which is not working as it should be. Thanks.
Regarding point 6: volumetric fog is only an option for Gen 9 and XBox One X (the only Gen 8 console powerful enough according to Matt). As a PS4 Pro owner, I know that fog cannot be selected from the menus (although I don't understand why PS4 Pro doesn't have the CPU / GPU power to run it without crashing).
That´s my suspicion for quite a while now. Having lived in both gen worlds, I´d never have TSW back on my PS4, although I hold that old companion in high esteem. It still handles a lot of games quite decently. But not TSW. That´s a job for PS5. And even this one has its troubles in certain places on certain routes. I also suspect that DTG will never tell openly that the PS4 hardware is on its knees with their latest creation. But somehow they acknowledged it by offering reduced time tables on the most resource hogging routes. Now, corrupting data bases is a whole new dimension. If that isn´t due to fragmentation or a thermal issue, we are down to spaghetti code and absent optimization.
