As the title states, I've finally set up Google Maps API key. Only to run into the same issue I am having using 'MapTiler' which can be found here MapTiler - Rail-Sim.de - Die deutsche Train Simulator Community This map is screenshot from using my Google Maps API key, same poor view using MapTiler. Same area again, from Google Maps website Same area again, Bing Maps Same area again, SIX Maps 'A dedicated New South Wales Government website' Yes, I know SIX Maps is SO MUCH BETTER... Same area again, Google Earth Pro If only I could use either Bing Maps or Open Street Map even though OSM doesn't have satellite view, but the track is pretty well spot on. Why can't DTG just remove that pathetic Google Maps API key requirement and simply allow a website to be used? You clearly know which website I would be using.
Detail seems fine to me on google? You know you can make it more detailed don't you? Granted full zoom means less though - but the above doesn't seem so bad (that's not me disagreeing with Bing / others etc - just saying Google in game isn't as bad as you say - but equally the areas i've done bing is very out of date, a lot more than google is, but of course no doubt there are probably areas of bing that are better than Google though - I just haven't experienced that yet ) Forgot to include the options that i use -
