    Hello all,

I would propose the Alsenztalbahn between Kaiserslautern and Bad Kreuznach. The direct line mesaures about 60 km but with the second connection via Hochspeyer there would be additional 10 km.

It is an unelectrified two track line throug a scenic valley in Rheinland-Pfalz. An interestig period of taking place could be the late 1990s. Using the DB BR 218 (with the famous n-Wagen) for express passenger- and through freight services and the DB BR 628 for stopping passenger services. (the BR 218 could also be recycled for MSB to reach the Aschaffenburg docks).

The only thing would be, that there would not be shuntig services because of the absence of industrial areas.

Interesting would be the big depot at Kaiserslautern and for the freight the Opel Trains with car parts from the plant in Kaiserslautern to Rüsselsheim and the long lime trains which traveled there in the former period...
