I really would like to see this loco in Train Sim World. And since this concern was raised and agreed by many other people in chat at the beginning of the latest Maintalbahn Livestream, I would like to provide the suggestion to it here now officially in the Forum. It's a very common and wide used train in Germany, so I hope it will find it's way to TSW at anytime. To be honest, I don't know what to write about this train so much as rather providing some plain facts and some photos to get you know about the train a bit better. A few informations about it: DB name: BR 640 (single car)/ BR 648 (double traction) Manufacturer: Alstom Transport Deutschland GmbH Type: DMU Gauge: 1435 mm (standard) Building since: 1999 Area of use: Germany (nationwide), Denmark, Netherlands. Number of Types: 2 (27/41 - the types vary depending on the length in meter, which also gives a clue back to their name LINT 27 or LINT 41. Generally speaking the 27 is the single car and the 41 the double car variant) Precise Length of LINT 41 (BR 648): 41.89 m Precise Length of LINT 27 (BR 640): 27,26 m Operators: DB Regio, Abellio Rail Mitteldeutschland, Arriva (Denmark), Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB), Bentheimer Eisenbahn (BE), Eisenbahnen und Verkehrsbetriebe Elbe-Weser (EVB), erixx, Hessische Landesbahn (10 LINT 41/H from fahma, 18 LINT 41 from vectus), Lokalbanen (Denmark), Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn, Nordbahn Eisenbahngesellschaft (NBE), NordWestBahn (NWB), Keolis Nederland (Netherlands), Vestsjællands Lokalbaner (Denmark) O-Train (Canada), Start Niedersachsen Mitte, VIAS Rail, RheinRuhrBahn, Erfurter Bahn, (former) Bayerische Oberlandbahn If you want more information about the train/train modell, you can find them in the respective Wikipedia articles: English: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alstom_Coradia_LINT and German (linked this also because it contains more information): https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alstom_Coradia_LINT Some Pictures: LINT 27 aka BR 640 (single car variant): LINT 41 aka BR 648 (2 car variant): Two coupled (double traction) LINT 41s: Cabin interior: Interior: Sound:
These should belong on Bremen Oldenburg Hbf route for Wilhelmshaven and Groningen via Leer(Ostf) although you need to detach the Netherlands bound section from the Wilhelmshaven section on DB 648 DMU.
The BR 648 (Lint 41) also could be used as AI in 1. Lübeck Hbf (DLC Hamburg-Lübeck) as the RE83 - Kiel to Lüneburg and RB85 - Lübeck to Neustadt in Holstein) (the Br 648 is very much used around the baltic sea era in germany), 2. Augsburg Hbf (DLC München-Augsburg) for the routes Augsburg – Weilheim – Schongau, Augsburg – Ingolstadt und Eichstätt Bahnhof – Eichstätt Stadt. 3. Leipzig (DLC Trans Rapid) for the route RB 110 Leipzig Hbf – Grimma – Döbeln. Koblenz (DLC Linke Rheinstrecke) is unfortunately set in a different era to use this train, although it (or at least the Lint 27 (BR 640) in double traction) drives there nowadays with the RB23/RE25 towards Limburg and Gießen on the Lahntalbahn. Don't know where else yet, but it's a very common train in Germany.
Thank you for telling me about that and when it comes to RB85 there are community members that refer to it as Vogelfluglinie Bahnstrecke Hamburg Lübeck Puttgarden since it runs on the route towards the train Ferry.
I am currently building the RE 10 from Kleve to Krefeld for TSW. The route is operated by RheinRuhrbahn with BR 648. The addition of this DMU to TSW would be amazing.
Me, too. I'm currently working on the Oberwesterwaldbahn and the Lint 27 (and I think also the 41 variant) are used on it for the RB90 line from Limburg an der Lahn (Hessen) to Au an der Sieg/Siegen (Northrhine-Westphalia). I used some pictures of it in the OP. The green-white livery was from a private operator called Vectus. The Hessische Landesbahn overtook the route in 2014 and now it has the yellow-red-white livery. Would be great if we could use the in reality operating loco for our routes.
Regio Nordost drives with Class 623, not 648. ^^ 623: 648: That are MY Images and they are not allowed to use anywhere else
You are right and I made a mistake - the RE4 from Lübeck to Stettin is used by BR 623s. However, I found out that DB Regio Nordost indeed drives with BR 648s though, but just not there in Lübeck as rather Berlin. For the RE6 (Berlin – Hennigsdorf – Neuruppin – Wittstock – Wittenberge) and the RB55 (Hennigsdorf (b. Berlin) – Kremmen) as the Prignitz-Express, DB Regio Nordost uses BR 648s. Nice photos by the way.
Unfortunately, the forum's language officially is english only still, so we can't speak in german. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, the whole Lint family is nice but I guess despite its visual similarites, building a new Lint version comes close to building a complete new loco, so that DTG would ever only bring one of these into the game. My assumption is that even if the Lint 41 (BR 648) would come some day to Train Sim World, a Lint 27 (BR 640) wouldn't be provided, although its basically just the cut down (single car) version of the Lint 41. So these are rather new suggestions I think. However, it also could be the opposite and if they build one Lint, its pretty easy to build another one. I don't know exactly. But the options are there that if one comes into the game, others also could find its entry. The Lint 54 (BR 622) The Lint 81 (BR 620) There is also the new iLint (BR 654), a version of the Lint 54, which has hydrogen propulsion. And the 1622, which looks a bit different to the BR 622 And there is also this guy here, the BR 1648, which again looks a bit different by its design to the BR 648. (At least I can see it) At some point, I think we will definitely have a member of the Lint family in the game. The only problem attached to the Lints is that they are mainly used by private operators, with whom its not so easy to get a license with, which - despite its popularity -is probably the main reason as well why we don't have a family member of the Lints in Train Sim World yet and still a bit unlikely to come in the future.
More German DMU's, hellyeahhh! There are lot we can see on some very interesting routes. Lowkey hopping SKA will ever get the branch from Eischweiller where we can see DB BR648 Euroregio, also running to Stolberg-Rathaus, will make Aachen bit more alive too!
these run on Bratislava - Dunajska Streda/Komarno line... such a shame the line is mostly single track and like 60-80 kph because of its not good condition... but nice machines
