We all know US trains headlights are way dimmer in the game/sim then they are IRL at night. The excuse to why we haven’t gotten them brighter yet is cause it would be too bright in the day etc. in my opinion the best way to solve this issue across the board is to add it in the settings if it’s easy to do so. so let’s say ok I’m on CJP or ___ route…it’s midnight and very dark…let me go into settings and adjust the slider for “headlight brightness” great now I can see way further ahead like I should be able to! Well now it’s midday and the lights are way too bright! Decrease the slider to a low percentage and now it’s nice and dim. in retrospect people may say this is “impossible” or “immersion breaking” but in reality it’s gonna be the best way to let us have our nice bright headlights at night. If anyone else has good ideas to let our US locos get brighter headlights at night let’s hear em!
