American Horns/bells

Hi,

Im playing a lot of Boston Sprinter now the signalling is working.

I wondered if anyone knew the rules for bells and horn around stations. I can’t find much on the internet and videos I see seem to vary.

Could anyone answer what I’m supposed to do with my bells and horn when:

Departing a station
Stopping at a station
Passing through a station non-stop

Don't know the official rules but in game I do:

Departing from a station - Depends
Arriving at a station - Bell
Passing through a station - Horn & Bell

That's what I do, but like I say don't know the official rules

 

I wish the bell was mapped to the PS5 controller. I rarely use it in game because it can be fiddly to operate manually in the cab.

Amtrak has a few extra “special instructions” but what’s above are the general rules for Boston and Trenton.

Yeah, I do crossings and other trains, but not tunnels though

 

Actually because of US horn I have to order the official RailDriver horn lever replacement again, the 2nd time in two years!
Takes some time via intercontinental mail ...

 

When mine went I ordered 2 replacements thinking I'd save money and time, of course when it came to replacing the first replacement, do you think I could find the 2nd one haha
