So after a few years of speculation and hints in recent times, SCS has finally posted the steam page for British Colombia for American Truck Simulator, think it will be a nice change for ATS as they now have a 2nd country being developed for it along side continuing the lower 48 states. Not to mention this will also lead to Alaska being viable in the future. I've been out of the ATS world for a couple of years now (last state would have been Colorado or Wyoming), might be time fire it back up again
To be fair, all of North, Central and South America is up for grabs with a name like "American Truck Simulator" =-) Although the parts going south could get a bit spicy and costly for developers. Driving a few hours to do research is one thing but who wants to fly to Chile to drive the mountain passes there for accuracy? Although having said that, it sounds like a fun job.
TBH I dropped off buying the mid West States even though they are a necessary part of getting to the East Coast. But BC, now that has got my interest piqued. Though when it emerges is another matter. We now have four outstanding DLC's on the roadmap for ETS2 - Nordic Horizons, Iceland, the Coach add on and just announced Ireland. My money is ready and waiting on Day One for all of those, surely Nordic Horizons at least must be getting close.
Now if we could get a TSW route for any of those.... The coach one though is kinda nice DLC coming up.
Been keeping up to date with all the games news now they announced it for console, real nice stuff, planning on putting my HQ in Norway for ETS (Portland Oregon for ATS) so the new horizons looks real nice aswell, not too mention Ireland and the U.K. re work. Loads more nice content aswell. Just waiting on confirmation that they will be porting all the dlc’s to the console version, I have high hopes but wanna keep expectations in check as it wouldn’t be the first PC port where that didn’t happen, as I am looking forward for sure to next year for its release on console
Nordic Horizons must be getting close, surely. Scuttlebutt on the SCS forum is it may land alongside or just after the 1.57 core update - which apparently brings more animated loading.
