As most probably already 2026 is America's 250th anniversary and the railroad industry usually and in the past has done many salutes to such occasions. I can't think of a better time or a better reason to bring US Steam into the game with the addition of the American Freedom Train. You would have the choice of either Reading Company 2101 or AFT 1 as it was renumbered at the time of the original Freedom Train or Sothern Pacific 4449 painted in its Red White and Blue scheme with some similarly patriotic passenger cars to go along with them. 4449 is vastly flexible if you chose to include the daylight scheme for it as well it could be transferred onto Cajon Pass and Sherman Hill routes it has previously run on as well as the metrolink routes in free roam and tons of reference material exists for it. Possible additional livers for the AFT 1 aka Reading 2101 also including Reading Colors figure 1 and the Chessie Steam Special figure 2 the 2101 made many trips over Horseshoe Curve and Sand Patch Grade making it vastly appealing for additional free roam services as well. View attachment 197990 Obviously this is just my 2 cents as an American Steam Locomotive fan but if you were going to do something this in my opinion would be the thing both Locomotives have vast and strong history's and have toured all over the United States making them none dependent on one specific route. The Steam Locomotive is one of America's biggest symbols and I cant think of a better way to celebrate the 250th in Train Sim World. EDITED also I feel it is important to mention that the passenger cars would simply need to be something based on the average American passenger nothing flashy nothing special just something basic that could wear several liverys (Red White and Blue/Daylight Orange/Chessie Yellow/ Reading Maroon)
