I’m trying to do the Amtrak 91 scenario for the northeast corridor from penn station to Philly but every time I get to the tunnel from penn station the I get a message saying wheel slip even though I be going like 6mph and then the alerter comes on and I can’t start up the train again if someone can help me I’ll appreciate it
Hello, I don't seem to have it, nor does Google help, nor does specific checking of the packs. However I have a generic tip that might work: Make sure to turn the safety systems off by pressing Ctrl+F and Ctrl+D. Some workshop scenarios mention it. Whenever I ran a quick drive on the NEC with a train from another section, it usually fails to recognize some of the signals (including those at NY Penn), defaulting to Stop. Also resulting in emergency brakes. Since the AEM-7 starts with safety systems off (info only), I assume you are driving the ACS-64 or similar.
I did it through careers and and it was a silver star service so it might was from a workshop and I definitely would love to turn off the warning system and the engines were two acs 64
From memory I do recall the ACS-64 wheelslipping a lot. The key to good traction is either a Wheelslip protection system and/or simply - make the loco heavy. I will patch the NYNH ACS to be less prone to wheelslipping. I'm using the parameters of the RSSLO BR182, which is a Siemens loco too. Edit: Fix is attached, increased Dry, Wet and SnowFriction
Working well so far... I will put up an ACS-64 patch on trainsimcommunity, because I have fixed some other issues. - defined a non-slack coupling for the ACS-64 (it's sharing the coupler blueprint with the SD40-2) - better cab camera - better controls input sensitivity - and the wheelslip fix
