amtrak had its first highspeed train on the NEC and it was the metroliner which they had in phase 1 and 2 currently most of the surviving metroliner are now cab cars used in the keystone and shuttle one is currently a first class private conference car (very rare) and the last is currently a cantonary inspection car (very rare)
