The Amtrak Cascades route, depending on where you start or end, is a 467 mile route. However, what I am proposing is a 187 mile route between Seattle and Portland. With 8 intermediate stops, this route begins only 30 miles south of the existing Stevens Pass terminus of Mukilteo. The route is owned by BNSF, so freight is abundant on the Seattle Subdivision. Rolling stock would have to be a WDTX NPCU F40PH, Talgo trainsets, and a WDTX SC-44. Stops include Tukwila, WA, Tacoma, WA, Olympia-Lacey, WA, Centralia, WA, Kelso-Longview, WA, Vancouver, WA, then on to Portland. NPCU F40PH Talgo Trainset SC-44
I'd rather have a BNSF ET44C4 than the ES44DC. The F40PH, Talgo, and SC44 Charger would be great, too. I'd also like a BNSF GP60 or Genset Switcher to handle local freight and switching.
To be quite honest, we need a locomotive pack for the ET44C4/ET44AH for all four major companies in TS (UP, BNSF, CSX, NS)
The GP30s sound cool, too; plus, they could just be a reskin of the UP GP30 pack. I'd also like to point out that Canadian National has ET44ACs, too.
