My favorite route is the NorthEast Corridor and I spend more of my time playing with Amtrak on there. Then as time when on I realized something. How come we don’t have Amtracks p42 or sleeper, baggage, Coach class? It’s not a biggie but I would love to see them in game. I live in Denver where I catch the RTD Commuter and Amtrak also has the zephyr along side, with made me realize the suggestion of having this awesome train and cab cars added to the game.
Someone has been making a P42DC in the PC Editor and been trying to get it released so let's hope it does get made into an official addon.
The P42 could be layered onto Cajon Pass (Southwest Chief), Sand Patch (Capitol Limited), and Horseshoe Curve (Pennsylvanian). The Pennsylvanian only uses HSC once per day. The SW Chief arrives in Barstow at night. I would like to see the P42, as well as Amtrak's P32-8BWH, P32AC-DM, and Siemens Charger. However, we need a dedicated Amtrak route for the P42DC. I'd suggest the Pacific Surfliner or Cascades (which could also give us Siemens Chargers as well).
Another route that could debut the GE Genesis can also be the Hudson Line but in Metro North livery too.
