I think we need a route/DLC the includes the Amtrak P42. I don't mind what route or what dlc its for. I just think a P42 is mandatory for this game, as they are being replaced and will be gone soon.

Right. I forgot about CT Rail. I would not mind an MNR P32 either. I would be fine with any P-unit. It just seems most of the if not all of them are in the process of being replaced. Because once they are gone, it could be difficult to get recordings and all that other stuff.

Man, I love these projects since DTG take 8 centuries to make a train that would have multiple route use cases. Definitely going to pick it up when it comes out.

Though the unfortunate thing about this is that consoles will get left out unless it's ported.

The P32 could go on the current Harlem Line route (which could also use an M8+New Rochelle branch) or on a Hudson Line route to Croton-Harmon, Peekskill, or Poughkeepsie (which I think would be popular).

This sounds like it would work. I think it would be pretty easy for dovetail to do this, as they already have a MNR license . The problem is the costs of reference trips and the chances of them actually deciding to make this add on.

The cost of the reference trip isn't the issue. It's getting access to the actual train and how well the operators want to be helpful. Mta for example doesn't allow dtg to access anything except for the branding

I think if we get more MNR content, it would just need to have the kind of restrictions that the Long Island Rail Road V2 route got which may or may not be acceptable to many but I wouldn't and haven't been too upset about that restriction.

The Amtrak P42 Genesis has this wonderful iconic front design. It stands for Amtrak in real.
