Amtrak Services To Boston Now Achievable On Time With Safety Systems On

The latest update seems to have fixed the issue where you would get slowed down to 30 mph before Back Bay to Boston. You can now cruise at 120 mph. Enjoy!

 

I had no luck yesterday all the route to Boston i had restrictive signal and 20mph limit. Sorry I can't tell you exact service number off top of my head.

I attempted a run from Providence to Boston, only to be held in 30 mph restriction for almost 3 miles before Route 128. Running late already I was then stopped at a red signal just before Route 128, with no services in front of me. After taking a stroll around and picking up some collectibles in the area, I gave up and quit. Not sure anything was fixed.

 

Try a different service. There is one that has that problem.

From what I can tell from my runs: There are still some priorities issues resulting in delay and still the strage 30-45-30 pattern at Providence. But you can now easily do Providence-Boston runs without delay!
Not perfect but still an improvement compared to the initial version. I just hope they'll figure out what is happening on some services (especially the ones from Boston to Providence)

 

Yes, and the weird traffic jams after Route 128.

After the recent update I also did a run to Boston, with all safety systems on in the ACS 64 and also arrived on time, so it does indeed seem to have been fixed.

 

Help me out here please. I'm new to TSW2 and have been considering the Boston-Providence route. I off course want to have the latest updates, but how and where do you get them?

 

They download automatically.

 

If the update is for a specific route, it'll download automatically but only if you own that route and have it installed. If the update is for the base game, or any route included in the base game (Sand Patch, Koln - Aachen or Bakerloo Line), it'll download automatically for all.

When I say "automatically" it means you'll receive it without you doing anything, but sometimes you need to trigger the download manually on Steam from your downloads screen, using the circled buttons or by trying to launch the game (it'll download the update before letting you play).

 

Well, I now have bit of a fly in the ointment as my issue of TSW2 came via Epic Games and the free download.It was The Rush Hour and the three routes that came with it. Technically, I don't think I own it as it was a free gift. What do you think?

Nope, just tried it and the dumb speed restrictions are still there, at least southbound.

 

I'm talking about northbound...

 

I'm not sure how any fix would have happened, since the Boston .pak file was last updated on November 24.
