I would like to request the addition of a Pacific Surfliner route to Train Sim World, along with a stronger focus on Amtrak equipment, including the Siemens SC-44 Charger, ALC-42, P42DC, F40PH NPCU cab cars. The Surfliner corridor between San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Luis Obispo is one of the busiest and most scenic passenger routes in the U.S., offering frequent stops, dense traffic, coastal scenery, and varied operations that would work perfectly in TSW. Accurate horn and bell audio is extremely important for immersion, especially on the Charger locomotives and cab cars. The Chargers use very distinctive horn types, and NPCU and cab car horns sound noticeably different from locomotives. Correct horn models, volume, and Doppler effects would greatly improve realism on a busy passenger route with many grade crossings. Many players feel that Amtrak routes and locomotives are being overlooked, despite strong and consistent community interest. Adding a Surfliner route with both modern and legacy Amtrak power would help address this gap and show that feedback from U.S. passenger rail fans is being heard.
