Amtrak's new NextGen Acela trains, which are being called "Avelia Liberty", are scheduled to begin service in Spring 2025. These trains will replace the current Acela Express fleet on the Northeast Corridor (NEC), offering an enhanced travel experience with more capacity, speed, and amenities.
