My experience on the Dovetail Games Forums have been amazing. The TSW forum has been the best part. I've had so many fun experiences here and have spoke to some really nice people. I only made a DTG account for Creators Club and to make suggestions but here we are. I can remember the moment I posted my first ever livery which was "Platinum Jubilee Class 375" and its now my most popular livery. Every moment I have spent on the Forums has been a good moment. And I really appreciate all the support on my liverys and threads. This forum feels like magic. I can remember when I posted my first thread, my first media. It was amazing. DTG if you see this; This forum is absolutely amazing.

Nice thread! I came to the forums in 2020 but then wandered away when my Xbox was commandeered by my kid for a few years. Now that she has her own, I came back to ask questions and get advice and keep up on things. I came back after upgrading from TSW2020 to TSW3 this past September, and the main reason I did so was for Livery Designer. I have been a model railroader for over 40 years (since 1974/75 ish) and this would give me an opportunity to paint and run my own freelance railway locos in a simulated real world. A big step up from model railroading and a very enjoyable one. So far it has been fun and I have fallen deeper into the rail rabbit hole purchasing another route to compliment my previous two. I only run North American stuff and particularly freight but I do appreciate the other foreign stuff and in particular some of your great photos and custom livery works. I haven't made too many friends here nor do I converse directly with many, but I do appreciate so many of you - your knowledge, advice, and talents. This thread is one of the things that is good... there are too many negative or complaint threads here and something like this spices it up. I also greatly appreciate the DTG devs & crew and give much respect for their interest in our drivel and bad days. They put up with a lot of negativity from us and must be commended for their patience and understanding. Most devs/crew do not take such time nor do they care. At least we know here that we have their ear when we have problems or suggestions (even though they may not comment all the time) which is a huge bonus for our community. And on that I'll cut it short. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas from Canada and my freelance railways. And on the day I made my account, May 7th 2022, I would never have thought I would have been so popular in the forums. You check my status: "Well-Known Member" on that day I made by account I never thought that would be the title I hold. And I only have you guys to thank for it. Thank yous are not enough to describe my gratitude to you all. Merry Christmas and a happy new year. - TFT#6439
Thanks to the guys who have @'d me here. I came here in earlier 2020, I think before or just shortly after TSW2 came out. Even though I - admittedly - never really played TSW (later TSW2020) much, I think I log just over a day on it, it is a continuation of my childhood experience of Train Simulation starting with getting Train Simulator in 2013/14 (When I was 6/7). When TSW2020 came out I hardly even knew - I ended up getting the Disk for Xbox and, eventually, switched to using gamepass for it. I hardly played anything of it except MSB (which, for some reason, I got access to), but when TSW2 came out it changed. Later in 2020, TSW2 caught my eye. Even though I had considered giving up, the sight of a Livery Editor and Scenario Planner made me buy it. This time non-disk, made it less inconvenient every time I wanted to play the game. I worked, over time, at getting better with the Livery Editor (which I think you can find some examples of in my signature), and more recently Scenario Planner. Then Cathcart came and heightened my interest beyond anything before. I loved it at first but now that love is missing. However, it was in 2020 I came here. Thanks to the lockdowns I was here most of the time, most days. I enjoyed it, leading to my Scottish Suggestions Series and such. I think being in the forums has helped me appreciate the TSW community a lot more than I did otherwise. I was never really 'part of' the community until then, so it was an entrance to a new world, when it comes to TSW. Even though Simulation communities and Railfans in general are viewed in a 'funny' way, I've realised it isn't true. It's a vibrant enough place where people share their creations, best moments (screenshots) and discuss. The community run discord servers, particularly Train Sim Community are fabulous. Thanks to, well, pretty much everyone on these forums, as well as TrainGeek08, TSW Nathan, derek#2931, meee and bdlhouston#8691 (hope I didn't miss anyone ) who have helped build the Scottish TSW Community on these forums into a proper section.
