Hi all, long term MSTS fan but not used fully since my last DVD - Railworks Class 37 edition for Windows XP. Steam has automatically updated it to TS2022 which is good in some ways, but now I can't access my old routes such as Festiniog, Isle of Wight and Severn Valley which remain on my C drive. Is there any way of adding them to my TS2022 library to use the routes and rolling stock please? I realise that the scenery may not be up to current standards though. TIA for any help.

    Hi and welcome!

You're talking about Railworks routes? They should work. MSTS routes? Different format, use OpenRails to play them. They've added nice optional features like super elevation and other things.
And there's Stevens Pass available for free in very good quality using very detailed ES44DC models. (named BNSF Scenic Route)

Thanks - my SVR is branded MSTS so I'll try OpenRails as you suggest - thanks.

I've managed to download OpenRails and have pointed it at my MS Games/ Train Sim folder for the routes etc. I can see the routes but I can't get them to work. it keeps of giving the error 'File missing C\.....\Global\TSECTION.DAT whichever route I try. Can you advise what I need to do to fix it please?

So you've setup the path to "C:\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator"? And in \GLOBAL folder there should be TSECTION.DAT which contains all track elements.

Do you have a full MSTS installation? It is required. (NOT for the free BNSF route though)

    I've attached a freely available updated tsection.dat. Copy that to C:\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\GLOBAL\ folder.

    Hope it helps!
