I've noticed a pretty disturbing sound when driving a train with the BR Blue MKII coaches. It's a squeaking noise that plays in an exact 2sec loop. It becomes noticeable from about 35mph and gets louder the faster you go. It did even 'overcome' the noise of a wide open Class 52. It's more that the pretty short loop of the sound rather the sound itself is annoying. And i think its too loud. Note: its not playing when in outside cam. You can just hear it when inside the cab or the coach. If you running a train where the MK1 parcel wagon is directly behind your loco, you can not hear it aswell. After i tried all the routes where the mkII runs, it seems to occur everywhere and with every loco. I've tested: NTP, WCL, GWR Diesel Legends and the Railtour Service on ECW. I have no idea when this problem was introduced or wonder if i just didn't heard it. Would be interesting if the dev team could have a short look into it. And if other players experiencing the same problem.
....since I've noticed the problem i reinstalled my game again. This Problem still occurs. I was thinking that maybe it comes from my speakers, so i changed to headphones, after that i plugged my stereo into my tv : Problem still there. Its over a week now, why isn't there any acknowledgement of this ? I feel like a new reaction would be very helpful. "flagged". Literally a little flag that only can be selected by the mods of this forum to give the players the acknowledgement that a certain problem is being looked into at least. Just an idea.
Reports don’t usually get an acknowledgment on the forum. Some do but it isn’t a normal thing to happen unless it is a huge issue. Having a report seen or acknowledged also isn’t a guarantee that it will even be investigated by the devs, let alone actually fixed. I’ve noticed an annoying squeaky sound with the coaches too. Next time I play a service with them I’ll have a better listen to see if I think it is a bug or an intentional sound. It’s likely it isn’t supposed to be playing so loud because there are a lot of sounds that play at too high a volume after an update or in the transition from TSW2 to TSW3 or whatever and there are plenty of bugs still outstanding after months or even years with no indication if they will ever be fixed. It’s just the way TSW is.
