Antelope “Cargo Pack” Like the one for the UK, but on the criminally underutilized Antelope Valley map. It is built with a relatively large number of freight sidings already on it. The rolling stock already exists from other routes. It's even in the correct liveries for the most part (UP and BNSF) It would just require a new "freight" timetable and plugging that rolling stock in. (Unless you want to keep it locked behind those other routes I guess, but you need something for stand-alone in case people just buy this pack. Something as simple as the BNSF models from Cajon Pass would work) Siding in Lancaster for a factory 4 sidings in Lancaster/Palmdale for military factories (right next to Edwards Air Force Base) 4 Santa Clarita sidings for US Postal Service Industrial center (metal works, motor factory and woodworking factory) Building supply/construction store Lumber supply and large crates Joseph Jensen water treatment plant and aqueduct filtration plant (require large amounts of chemicals delivered regularly) Sun Valley Sand and Gravel (Sun Valley) There are already large Intermodal yards and rail freight storage yards further down south closer to LA (3 main ones) There’s even shunting opportunities, which the North American maps have basically none of, and a good use for the MP 15 switcher, which is normally ubiquitous on US railroads but is only used on one route. For other rolling stock, almost anything on the US routes would work. The SD 2070, the AC4400, the GP-38, SD-40. They are in BNSF and UP colors already too. Plenty of DLC add on opportunities. Some new liveries (such as BNSF/UP for the MP 15 since I dunno if Caltrain works those lines)
If you have not seen this Roadmap image, I did a bit of highlighting to show the only US content "in the works" along with Japan. This could be seen as an extension.
It would be great to get a UP GP60 (and rebuilt GP62/GP60E units as well), GP40-2/GP40N, GP39-2/GP39N, SD70M, SD60, SD60M, and/or SD59MX for freight on Antelope Valley. The AV Line's freight services are worked by UP, not BNSF, although BNSF does handle freight elsewhere in the LA area.
Well, we have UP locos and liveries already, and more would always be good. I thought I've seen photos of BNSF moving in the area. Could be wrong. Essentially, the locos are very similar. You get an an SD-40 in game for either company, and there's an AC4400 for UP which is basically contemporary with the SD2070AC. Be nice to see some other "Geeps" in game, although the GP-38 is probably my most driven loco in TSW 4.
