Just wondering if there are any DTG coming routes? It seems lately it has just been third party routes launched. I’m not sure but it seems that over the last couple of years the amount of content from DTG has been reduced compared to previous
If your curious the most recent DTG DLC I belive was Pegnitztalbahn in Janurary of the year. There focusing a LOT on TSW3 right now so there letting 3rd parties do a lot for TSC right now which honestly isn't a bad thing given thats what seperates TSC from TSW to some extent.
Metropolitan line... was made by Just Trains a while back. As for the other 2 sure, they could be intresting.
Hopefully Metropolitan will be released for TSW3, my choices were all for TSW3. I have the Metropolitan and SVR already on TSC. My choice for TSC or TSW3 would be the Piccadilly Line.
I guess what I was referring to the future number of plan DTG releases itself. Are they planning same, more, or less DTG DLC releases than say 2019.
2018-2019 was actually a really trigger happy year for TSC given it was the last few years before TSW - there where 10-25 dlcs released in that span I think....
Im going to update my previous post - Crewe-Manchester is technically already in it with the ATS WCML midlands and northwest (does cost a 32.99 pound yearly subscription). And the servern valley line is actually a WIP by SteamSupremeSounds which will be completely freee.
I would like DTG to create the Harlem Line, from GCT to Southeast. An extension to Wassaic will be a plus
Better cars, better guns, prettier uh.. ladies of the night... My choices are all for GTA-V.. Seeing as we're talking about wishlists for games other than TSC in the TSC forum....
It's been almost a year since LIRR, the last US DTG route, so I would expect one to be in the works at some point, since a UK and DB route have been released since then.
Enfact even then the last US DTG addon full stop was the LIRR M3 which was half a year ago. DTG are focused on TSW3 (as me and a few others have stated) to work on TSC right now. Honestly personally I have no problem with this but I can see why its incredably annoying for people who want DTG routes.
Likely they are continuing the updating of the core game, even though it's gone awfully silent from that hold too....
Hi Everyone, at the moment we're focusing on improving the core game - this will continue to be a big focus for us over the coming months as we look to roll out future improvements (more information coming soon). We're working with our third-party partners to keep lots of content coming your way though in the meantime with some very exciting things coming.
Metropolitan Line in this game was made by Just Trains and perhaps they should remake it for TSW 3 with Sarah Siddons Locomotive pulling 4TC and GWR 5700 Duck with Metropolitan Railway Coaches S8 stock. DLC A60 stock for those that want an old school train like a 1972 Stock
I think the chances of any developer making a New Route with 4 new types of stock is remote. And as JT have not released any DLC for TSW I would not hold my breath. And why a "GWR 5700 Duck"
It depends what you mean by major. Birmingham to Shrewsbury would be nice, as would Hereford to Worcester. The latter was being developed by Bossman, but they seem to have abandoned the project. The same is true of the mainline to Inverness, also abandoned by JT. Belfast to Dublin would be interesting.
Yeah it was Hereford to Oxford known as the Cotswold Line, I was extremely saddened by the (never confirmed or mentioned in any way by BMG that I'm aware) supposed abandonment of this project, I was really looking forward to it more than any other UK route in TSC other than the hope of a Swansea to Pembroke Dock/Milford Haven/Fishguard aka the West Wales Line. I really hope BMG do decide to revisit the project and also that Danny then merges it to the SWC/WM merge
I can't speak for people as I neither know or like that many, but for me I still play the branded SWC/WM merge regularly and if I add scenery or missing signals AWS or any other bits and bobs tweaks it's always to this and not the originals. So from me, a resounding YES!
Also a resounding yes from me. I have my own Swansea - Neyland ML, plus Milford Haven branch route. But it is steam era 50's - 60's and in a very unfinished state. But if i could merge it to the Swansea - Bristol - Shrewsbury merge. Then that would be my dream route for TSC. So yes Danny boy, bring on the merging. If you don't want to do it yourself, then please impart your knowledge. So simpletons like me can have a bash at doing the job, brother.
Can't help but think that some of the excellent WIP routes were seeing on social media may get an official release though Steam. ATS seem to have people working on new routes and updated versions of routes for example. "Exciting" would suggest to my mind that these are things that have not been hinted at or previously released via a Third Party. We shall see.
It would make sense. It's best to avoid the dead game image, even if technically we have more than enough content. While releasing old JT stuff to fill the gaps may seem nice, they get mediocre reviews due to asset quality but particularly train choices - if not for quality reasons than for boredom. Even using more of the RSC & DTG range could be nice, even if bundles are needed. (There are many nice trains and liveries in the archaic packs.) Personally I wouldn't mind "proto-fictional" routes such as Ohio Steel. American scenery tends to be more versatile but unless they release the newest and fanciest trains, they also suffer from rolling stock boredom, so adding an electrified version and using German / Austrian / British rolling stock could be sensible. In any event, while I don't need any content myself, I am curious and looking forward for anything Jamie teased above.
There are two JT Routes which are fictional https://store.steampowered.com/app/1364035/Train_Simulator_Marsdonshire_Route_AddOn/ & https://store.steampowered.com/app/1107814/Train_Simulator_Valley_Corridor_Route_AddOn/ The latter uses UK and European stock in its scenarios
It's a resounding yes from me as well, love the merged routes, just wish there were more scenarios for them (or that they were easier to find).
PS thank you (I haven't ignored it) - I mean i have merged two RSSLO routes (although sadly haven't found a way to fix the different sets of Terrain Textures (without repainting one of the routes completely - also it's "unlisted for a reason" ) (yes the name of the second route still makes me laugh inside... ) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2890744523
Having all 4 routes I purchased this - I did not realise you were doing a merge https://www.rsslo.com/product/combine_ljubljana_salzburg/
If you look at the German route map for TS Classic, there is a massive hole in the centre. Lots of north and south stuff, but nothing in the middle. Most important mainlines and the entire ruhrgebiet ist missing. I hope DTG will focus on that area for future German routes... it´s needed badly, as third party in Germany have been focusing heavily on S-Bahn, U-Bahn and branchline routes the past couple of years. Fulda-Frankfurt has been suggested many times on the forums, to just name one. I´m really curious to see what DTG will be doing next on the German side and hope we don´t see another Pegnitzalbahn. Though executed well, it´s just a boring route traffic wise. I would really like to see a real German highspeed line like Kassel-Würzburg on TSW3.
German highspeed routes like the TSW Würzburg Kassel are also boring. LZB on and all there is to do is press the Sifa pedal every 30 seconds. I’d much rather have main lines where there is all kinds of traffc. Like Nürnberg Regensburg. There you have anything from freight to IC trains. I agree, the middle of Germany needs routes. It is also a very beautiful part of germany so something to look at But otherwise get some of the annoying holes in the network closed. Offenburg Hausach. A mere 70km between them, and then you can go from Düsseldorf to the Swiss border. Same thing ofcourse with Offenburg Freiburg.
This beeing the more important one of the two, with countless ICE services from Köln and Frankfurt Hbf/Frankfurt Flughafen going to Basel. I think the best bet might be Fulda-Frankfurt, like myself and others have said before on the forums. It also has services going through towards Basel and the very interesting thing about Fulda is that is a shift changing point for German freight drivers. You could drive freight trains towards Basel, Karlsruhe, Mannheim or even Köln and Trier via other excisting routes in TS Classic. That would be amazing.
Agree with everything you said. Fulda Frankfurt would be high on my wishlist. (But i still want Konstanz Hausach “connected to the grid”. It is the most wonderful of all German/Austrian/Swiss payware routes.)
This was the main reason I created this thread. Was trying to figure if DTG is just going to re sell DLC that’s already available through third party since it just seems that’s where it been headed. Hopefully we can get some actual DTG content in the near future
They just announced Passau-Regensburg from RSSLO on Steam... also Hope Valley from JT. It´s a good question if that counts as "new routes" and now we can lean back again for a couple of months.
My bad I meant to quote toms87 post saying "They just announced Hope Valley from JT" When it was released recently.
