Why do certain versions of the same train not get offered as playable substitutions within a timetable, but others do?

    For example...

    Class 101

On Tees Valley I can pick from local version and Preston/Carlisle version, but not diesel legends version or NTP version.

On NTP it's only the local version.

On Diesel Legends it is only the local version.

On Preston/Carlisle it's only TV or local version.

I know the TVL one for example, has a little marker to say the unit is from Darlington, for example. I don't know if this has something to do with it. It would be kind of weird to have a Darlington unit down in the Thames Valley for example.

I guess it's also kind of pointless, except maybe the Shap one with the improvements JT made to it

The Diesel Legends one indicates being from Reading and NTP Neville Hill

Yeah, I was hoping to drive the WCMLoS one on the old NTP route in the timetable, because the new version is so much better!!
