I would never expect me opening a thread about the collectables... But sometimes I can enjoy walking along the line, watching trains and finding the (more or less) hidden stuff. Now as we are waiting for BR 114 to get it's brakes fixed, I decided to visit some stations on Frankfurt-Fulda on feet. But I think there is something weird behind the scenes. I had to check the "collectable guide" to confirm what I discovered - some stations have plenty of collectibles (Offenbach), while other have none (Fulda, some stations near Hanau). I mean, the collectables themselve are maybe not important at all, but it would be interesting to know the story behind that weird spread. Some Friday evening conspiration theories? Maybe DTG planned to use the other line from Hanau instead, but then changed their plans and made the southern line and then placed those collectables the chaotic way just to get them in place before release? Just an idea, ther should be some reason for this I suppose.
I've been wondering about that myself lately. I'm also rather curious why the Bembels are in the platforms. It's not like everybody is carrying those around in stations. At least the pizzas on Arosa line were mostly placed on tables and the gingerbread men on BPO weren't lying around on the platform floors but inside waiting rooms or cafes. Though I have a suggestion as to what collecting all Bembels should unlock: The world's largest Bembel on a goods wagon to add to consists. At least that happened in 2013 when it was transported by rail to Frankfurt. And let's be honest, who doesn't want to hook up a 670 liter Bembel to their train?
