Only really play North Wales Coast Line and love it but I have 1 problem, in quick drive every once in a while a train with the old arriva liveries will drive by instead of TfW so is there any way to just delete the files containing these liveries?
Sounds like you got both the original and the TfW version of the route installed. Simplest way is to uninstall the Arriva version of the route by unticking them in the DLC manager:
Hey thanks for the response, however I don't think I have it installed this is what comes up in the DLC section
Then you'll have some more work to do. You'd need to remove the NWC route GUID from the PreLoad blueprints of any Arriva stock you own... take a note of what is appearing that you don't want to appear, then we can move on.
You must own units in Arriva Livery. If you remove them from the base game they will not be available for any route.
Thanks, so it's mainly the Class 175 that appears I'm not sure if I've seen a Class 158 appear with it so far
That's should be South Wales Coastal stock. There's branded and unbranded versions. I'm not sure why they appear on NWC though... they shouldn't according to the PreLoad data. You got some mods? For example the SWC Arriva 3-car 175 consist is set to appear on Bristol-Cardiff (64), Bristol-Swansea (68) and the full unbranded South Wales Main Line (68d). NWC (86...) is not listed. Which one you got?
I haven't got any mods installed no, sometimes they're the TfW livery sometimes they're the Arriva ones. Sorry I'm a complete noob to this how do I find what you just posted?
I need data Play a QuickDrive on NWC, as soon as you see an Arriva train, pause the game or quit. Then open Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Content\Routes\00000086-a000-0000-0000-000000002022\Scenarios and open the folder with the most recent date (should be the moment you pressed Play) In there, find the file ScenarioProperties.xml. Paste it here.
Ths might be worth a quick try! The original route, the QD scenarios are dated in 2010. The AI is dated as follows: 1982 - 2010 for the Class 142 Provinical 1989 - 2010 for the Class 142 Regional Railways I dont have the TFW updated, but if you go into TFW QD scenerio via the Main Menu/ Build / Scenario and change the year date to say 2011, then the original route AI should be excluded. (Important... Keep a note of the TFW QD year before changing as you may want to change it back) I use RWE Enchancer 2 to manage my QD consists, and always change the route date to around 2050 so I can set up the AI fresh for only the era relevent consists I would like to appear. TS Tools is a useful tool to download all your consists into a spreadsheet so you can see how the AI is set up with dates and routes!
Rooting through the file I found this if this is what you need </LocoName> <LocoBP> <iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID> <BlueprintSetID> <iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID> <Provider d:type="cDeltaString">DTG</Provider> <Product d:type="cDeltaString">NWC-CreweCaergybi</Product> </iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID> </BlueprintSetID> <BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">RailVehicles\Diesel\Class175\Ghost\DMSL\175_DMSL.xml</BlueprintID> </iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID> </LocoBP> <StartLocation>
Thanks, yeah I haven't got the shrewsbury to swansea DLC so it can't be from that. Is there any way to stop it showing up that you know of?
I'll check the consist and upload a modified preload file for the ghost consist to not appear on NWC. Indeed, these are part of NWC. I'll take the NWC route GUID out of their preload files, no need to adjust QD template dates. Open the .zip and drag'n'drop the Assets folder onto your RailWorks folder. This should stop the Arriva ghost consist from appearing on NWC quick drives. That's the most elegant solution imho without having to delete anything from an .ap file (which you should not do anyway).
