I tried SKA for the first time since TSW4, and it crashes on load every single time. It's the sort of thing one would associate with a bad mod, but I only have three mods associated with SKA and its trains and they all check out. Any ideas?

Jetwash' ground textures, Bescot's lighting timer, and Aran's pantograph fix. All tested (and the first two work fine on every other route).

There is one oddity- when I open the timetable selection screen for SKA, it has a third timetable just for an 11-car ICE1, and I have no bloody idea where that came from.

Okay, this is getting even weirtder. That BR 401 link ties to two trains on SKW, not SKA, but they have no rotes. And my SKW is missing entirely! There are NO timetables, except on foot, and although Journey mode exists, trying Äto launch a service just produces an eternal spinner and no load. WTF is going on?

TSW bugs as usual. I recommend getting rid of the pantograph mod (is that the one for the Talent 2?) as we get a new timetable soon anyways.

So after 45 minutes of pondering have you considered doing it the logical way and just start the game without mods?

Bugs don't appear weeks after an update, MoRoN222 don't always put the blame on DTG. All routes are there, and this is clearly a mod issue, as there's no reports in the Troubleshooting section.

But this is not a TSW bug as usual. This is a mod issue or corrupt files which can be recovered by a Steam verification.

Already verified files, they’re good. And I tested the pantograph mod.
But as to deleting all mods- are you kidding?

bizarrely, it seems almost as if I have a holdover from the old TSW3 ICE1 mod- but that’s impossible

All right, this is getting stranger and stranger. Just booted up a vanilla game with no mods. The two routes are behaving properly again- except for one weirdness. SKA is showing one unplkayed scenario- and, bizarrely, it has a title and descriptive text in German, driving an ICE 1! (No, the ICE 1 does not appear on SKA). And the scenario loads, too.

Then, under timetables, SKA has three: the original, the revised New Journeys... and another one for the "DB ICE1 11 Car DBE"- which has no services, it's an empty timetable. It must exist in connection to that strange German scenario.

Now, "DB ICE1 11 Car DBE" is one of the loco options in the SKW timetable, along with the 14-car.. but strangley, I now have four options, 11 and 14 car consists with both red and green stripes- I'm almost certain that was the result of a mod, but that can't be.

But where the hell did it come from? Again, this is vanilla, there are no mods active.

That's either a mod that you have somehow missed (not all mods are picked up by the Mod Manager), or you have corrupt files. If it was the base game, we would all have that on PC, and we don't.

That's what is puzzling the heck out of me. All mods are physically removed from the DLC folder- they simply aren't there. And I ran a Steam file verification and everything checked out.

EDIT: Ha! Found it. Lurking in there I found "TS2Prototype-WindowsNoEditor-ICE735Scenario_hell.pak" - note the author violated The Rules by including "TS2Prototype-WindowsNoEditor" in his filename, which is supposed to be the exclusive naming convention for official DLC. Will pull it and see if that eliminates the conflicts.

EDIT 2: All right, that caused the anomalous timetable, but wasn't the source oif the crash. It seems that the usually reliable solicitr made a mistake, because Redstoneia's Emissive Fix for the KGW 185's LZB indicator is for TSW3 only and that's what causes that route and any that layers in that loco to crash.
