So I bought this loco pack last month and have had nothing but issues. Visually it’s amazing and when it works it’s good, but I’m finding it impossible to complete a route even in quick drive without it deciding on its own that I should stop and it will not restart. I’ve tried everything I can think of to try and reset the train, going back to the cold set up motions but regardless it just will not budge.

I’m fair certain the problem is something I am or am not doing, anyone any idea what I could be doing wrong? Finding it very frustrating which is a real shame as it looks to be a great bit of kit otherwise.

It's not the driver vigilance alarm kicking in is it? (E cancels alarm - not sure it sounds externally, been a while since I've driven it)

I‘ve had issues with this loco as well. Pretty sure it’s my driving though.

It was happening constantly approaching a red on a particular scenario. So I assume it was some kind of overspeed that triggered it as I found that crawling up to the signal at 10 mph consistently solved it. (Maybe I was just lucky, I have no idea if something like that is implemented)

If it does trigger I always find that going through the emergency stop recovery in the manual let’s me move again. (Page 27 section 7).

You have not said which route you have been driving but does it have TPWS Grids in the track?
If you over speed approaching a Red they can give you a brake application

When the E-Brake kicks in for whatever reason such as the DSD or missed AWS you need to put the reverser into neutral and brake application to emergency and leave it for a bit. Then release the brakes and reverser into forward and it should release the brakes. I've driven the 314 and 320 from AP that many times that i've ran into the same situation a lot :) - still waiting for that fabled 318 to be finished

Then approach at a sensible speed. Look up TPWS.

Yes, thanks, I thought I was. I had plenty of time to stop. Just strange that it only happened in one place. Other reds I didn’t have an issue with. Anyway not a problem - scenario is finished and it only seemed to be in one place. Just thought the OP might be hitting the same thing.

It would depend on whether there was a TPWS plate there or not.

Thanks guys, few things to consider/try there. In terms of route, really just the Glasgow electrics, Helensburgh-Springburn/Airdrie extension, WCML North and the airport link.

    a 318 would be class, even a 334
