Ap Hst Valenta - Help Wanted

I have just purchased the Valenta and am trying one of the scenarios, but I cannot get any amps when trying to move off. The engine stopped light is out so the engine is running. I've turned the key, acknowledged AWS, move the reverser, eased the brakes and then moved the power handle but nothing happens. No amps at all. I have tried lots of combinations including stopping and restarting but nothing happens. There's obviously a little trick to it but I cant work it out. Any suggestions?

 

Only suggestion I (or anyone else) can make is read the manual, I can't help specifically because I don't own the pack having (so far) cured myself of buying anything TSC related about 12 months ago (it really does easily become a compulsion).

 

DRA off?
ATP on and ready? (if it has this)

I would vote for DRA being on, 39 is DRA light, Y key for on/off.

 

I've forgotten to disengage the DRA a few times myself, happens to the best of us .

 

Which scenario?
Just tested APHSTVAL: 1S22 15:30 King's Cross - Edinburgh
following keys

Master Key: Shift+W
Forward: W+W+W
AWS Acknowledge: Q
DRA: Y
Board Train: T

 

Im guessing it is setting up the ATP, if it has ATP in the cab you have to set it up, the brakes will not come off if you dont. ATP setup is in the glovebox

 

Also just noticed - the engine may be stalled (red light) - if so press Engine Start button
Also watch out for General Fault Codes whilst running - read manual for more details

 

Maybe the OP just moved the Master Key instead of using Shift + W.

That has caught me out once or twice
