    So yeah
Since THURSDAY, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has been done about the problem with the APT-P
I understand that it takes a while to sort out, but can SOMEONE PLEASE do something to at least notify us about what is happening to sort it out. Please any admins that see this reply with (and only with) a status update.

    Thanks

Had this in my collection for ages now, really nice model. What's the issue that you are seeing with it?

It's lost somewhere along with the UK signals on certain routes. See Missing assets thread on the forum.

The way you are ranting on about one product not working as it should is unbelievable

Have you contacted the Developer of the APT yet as you were asking?
Do you think the Developer who made the train on a computer and who has nothing to do with what is happening will be able to help?

When you get a problem with your computer do you fire off emails to Bill Gates - he helped develop it

Yeah - I will be buying this at some point.... say, when they actually allow people to use the DLC that they have purchased.

Remember me ranting on is only a theory, Peter has stated that as if it's fact

    Seriously

    No. Just no.

Also yes I did contact the developers
    On Saturday
    And got ignored

and no I don’t ‘fire off emails to Bill Gates’ every time my computer plays up
    That would be stupid

    "ages" lol..

It was 6 days over a UK bank holiday weekend, so ignore 3 days (Sat Sun Mon) it was 3 days and the problem was acknowledged, identified & fixed and a patch released by the third WORKING day.

    So yeah, ages... Entitled much?

I thought that DTG's reaction and handling of this was basically perfectly fine. And it gives me confidence going forward. (I am assuming the APT is back up and running?). The products affected had quite a wide base.

However - I would not have had this confidence beforehand... at all. So I fully sympathise with any customer that got anxious over the last few days - because given the recent past... you simply wouldn't know where you stand.

But credit where credit is due - they got this one completely right. Let's hope we see more like this in future.

Plus during a global pandemic when nothing is normal at the moment. What makes me laugh is when people say 24 hours later that they should have fixed it by now! When they don't even know what the problem is, who or what caused it or even how easy it is to fix. I haven't the first idea about how to code or build a simulator so I would not start proclaiming something should have happened in my own desired timescale.

Patience no longer seems to be a virtue.

I think DTG have handled this very well and very swiftly and kept us informed, however you won't get many here coming to say so!

    LOL... CAPITAL LETTERS.....IN BOLD.....AND UNDERLINED.....AND COLOURED RED

This did make me chuckle.... It's a shame there are no flashing fonts here.... ;-D

To be sympathetic to noahg5 - his point (IN CAPS) was made before the issue was fixed for the APT-P..... and it was a bit of a biggie... completely breaking multiple DLCs that could have cost people £100s. And noahg5 hasn't complained since it has been (mostly) fixed.

You're right, I can get a little "grumpy old man" when it comes to either bad manners or perceived entitlement.

Hope the op has it all sorted and up and running again now.

Just checking.... you don't... by any chance... play an organ.....? Or did you mean to say....:

"I can also get a little "grumpy old man"......" LOL... Your post really makes it look like you might be someone else in disguise.... and that the bag on the face is a clue... LOL... way too funny.......

I'm afraid that one's gone over my head so i'm not really sure who you're referring too but then I am fairly new to the DTG forums, however I can assure you that I am definitely Reef and only Reef, in fact I'm the same Reef that's a Global Moderator over on SCS Software's official ETS2 & ATS forum

I know I don't need to verify to anyone who I am I just thought I'd share anyway :)

Don't worry about it.... You appeared (to me) to take ownership of a post that I replied to earlier (that was made by someone else)..... as if you had made the original post, and you were that person.....

The double irony is that the person you appeared (to me) to take over is someone that has often suggested that I might be someone else "in disguise".... So.... I thought it was hilarious. No offence meant to anyone at all, by the way, just a curiously random occurence...

    ;-)

Ahh ok I see, I was merely agreeing with and responding to this part of your post, maybe I should have trimmed the quote down to just the relevant part ....
I wasn't intentionally trying to take ownership of anything (other than every bloody DLC on Steam so it would seem).

Reef's wife hasn't cut his hand off. So he can still type.

Sliced off appendage is (apparently) the punishment for opening a parcel that contains your birthday present before your birthday, which might be a Rail Driver.

I think this might be classed as "off-topic" ......unless it turns out that the Rail Driver doesn't work with the APT (if the APT is meant to support it)..... LOL.
