    Good day everyone. Is DTG currently making routes for TSC? It seems nothing has been released for a while. I am not sure if it's because the simulator is in the process of receiving core updates/fixes or if the focus has shifted over to Train Sim World

    DTG Are currently focused on stabilising and improving the core, I believe Steve said that afterwards they will start looking to make more 1st party addons

    That is good to hear we have some australian routes in the works. Thanks for letting me know as well that they are mainly working on improving the core. I have definitely noticed some improvements to overall fps and stability since the code transitioned from VS2010 to VS2022. It is great to see that TSC is being revamped and getting a little TLC to bring it up to modern standards.

  6. HAHAHA what have I done! :D:D:D:D:D

    I am so sorry mate, I was trying to joke around! DTG wouldn't ever do anything Australian!
    There are however, a handful of Australian routes available at trainsim.com, uktrainsim.com and of course the TSC Steam workshop.

    Search for: Perth, Queensland, Adelaide and of course Australia to find the routes.

    One does wonder if DTG have directed their in house route building teams to divert across to the TSW cash cow.

    Though with TSC at least there are far more third parties producing content to balance out the dearth from DTG.

    Yes but when the OP who is not from the UK asks a serious question should the reply be wrong?

    Or are you against giving out correct information - LOL!!!

    Did not mention you or anyone. Just nice to see someone who has a good sense of humour when giving a funny answer take the joke and not all serious and others engaging in the joke as well.

    I think what cityrail-rulez means is that he's going to give it a crack himself.

    I tried to use the editor and found it much too confusing.

    the guaranteed once or even twice a year UK/US/German routes with decent length and quality are defintly missing though.
    On the UK side there has been no real new route since the Huddersfield Line (not even from third party). On the german side there has been som releases, but mostly very specific stuff like S-Bahn Berlin or U-Bahn Hamburg. I know, RSSLO have done München-Nürnberg... but it massivly lacks in quality compared to recent german DTG routes.

    I think at some point in 2024, once DTG fully optimize and complete revamping the core of the game, I think a move to DX12 natively with graphics improvements will be looked into. I believe once DTG gets TSC modernized to the point where it should be, they may resume making routes. Right now, I think routes should be made because while TSW4 routes are created, there are still bugs with nearly every route to some level. I just hope DTG doesn't give up on creating new content for TSC as it seems to be more stable with less bugs compared to TSW

    DTG has a separate team for TSW.

  24. Yes, Australia has had railways since the mid 1800s! In fact our first railway was completed in 1831.

    Except it was not much of a Railway
    "The first railway was privately owned and operated and commissioned by the Australian Agricultural Company in Newcastle in 1831, a cast-iron fishbelly rail on an inclined plane as a gravitational railway servicing A Pit coal mine.2
    Basically a Funicular

    "The first steam-powered line opened in Victoria in 1854. The four km long Flinders Street to Sandridge line was opened by the Melbourne & Hobson's Bay Railway Company at the height of the Victorian gold rush"

    We had an Intercity railway in 1830 connecting Liverpool and Manchester.

  26. I was simply stating the fact that's when Australia had a completed railway line, I clearly did not mention anything about trains

    I found it all interesting when reading up on them. I did not realise Australia had such a good network currently and previously. It is something I woukd buy if it was ever made and totally different to what we have in sim now. Is the train sim community large over in Australia I am surprised no one has made anything be it a developer or an individual in the community has tried.

  28. I will admit it! There are a few good Australian routes available for TSC on uktrainsim.com trainsim.com and TSC Steam workshop. You only need to search for Australia, Tumulla, Lithgow, Perth and Adelaide to find them! There is also a few other upcoming routes to keep an eye out for too :)

    As for rolling stock, the only best one I've seen so far here on the forums is the 46 Class Electric Locomotive! I'm certainly looking forward to it! But anything reskinned, I'm not really a big fan of. Also, if only I knew how to do the lua scripts I would have the XPT, NR, Adelaide Metro trains and the QR ICE train already released, I just don't have the head to do it!!

    Im fairly certain DTG has stated that the main reason behind them not making any aus routes is that licensing is a bit of a roadblock.
    They have some "ideas" though as far as im aware.

    I reckon the easiest Australian route to pull off would be one set in the Pilbara region of Western Australia – they virtually use modified American locomotives (SD70ACe/LCi SD70ACe-P6. Dash 9, ES44ACi, ES44DCi (The I standing for international), SD90MAC-H2, SD9043MAC etc.

    All they the locomotives if licensing is an issue, then maybe do unbranded versions

  31. links for the route from australia would be better then giving some site where is hard to even find a route

    DTG don't normally do unbranded versions
    Those that are available are from other producers like Bossman Games

    easiest and most boring for sure

  34. It's not that hard to find!

    I can't provide the links for Australian routes available at trainsim.com since you will have to login, or register if you haven't already got an account. Don't worry, it's free ;)

    UKtrainsim.com Trainsim.com and Index of /RW (treinenwereld.eu)

    Tumulla Bank 'Found at UKtrainsim/Trainsim and Index of /RW' by filename UKTS_30795_TumullaBanks_V1.1
    Lithgow - Bell + Zig Zag Railway 'Found at UKtrainsim and Trainsim' by filename UKTS_26601_zigzag
    Whiteman (Search for whiteman, in the File Library 'by filename' at trainsim.com)

    Hint: While on Index of /RW press Ctrl+F, type in Tumulla

    Australian routes on Steam: TS Classic workshop!

    Koolyanobbing-Forrest
    Steam Workshop::Koolyanobbing-Forrest (steamcommunity.com)

    Villeneuve Valley Branch and V2
    Steam Workshop::Villeneuve Valley Branch (steamcommunity.com)
    Steam Workshop::Villeneuve Valley Branch(VR Tracks V2) (steamcommunity.com)

    Adelaide Metro
    Steam Workshop::Adelaide Metro (steamcommunity.com)
    NOTE: There is also an 'Adelaide REMAKE' route available, read the comments by the author to obtain the direct link. I have posted this link once before here on the forums and got bullied over posting it.

    Have a sus at the screenshots too ;) Search Sydney, Australia and you shall find more WIP routes or no longer in WIP!
