So I've tried 2 of these so far. Same thing both times, you get to a red..... wait 20 minutes... nothing.
Am I not waiting long enough? Is this how these services are supposed to go? It says 15 minutes.

I love TSW, but I have to say that if all the shunting services are broken, it really brings down the value of the whole thing.

and if some of them do actually work, how are we supposed to know which ones?? I'm zero for 3 today. that's 2 - 3 hrs wasted. I just want to play, not trouble shoot.

Are you sure that the signal is red?

Do you know how to read shunt signals?

If you see a shunt signal beneath a red colour light signal, displaying two white lights, it means proceed.

If you are ever unsure of what a signal means, press and hold the "contact signaller" button for instructions. (Hold down the B button on XBOX, or O button on Playstation 4/5).

I can confirm that when I tested it just now, the signal was indeed red, until I reached it, stopped, and requested the all clear as normal, at which point it raised and I was good to go, with the game HUD also updating from red to green. If it's not doing the same when OP does, then I'd guess something about that broke in TSW6

Even though you wouldn’t need to in real life, sometimes in game you do have to request the signal in order to get the shunt signal into an occupied section.

Thanks, I do appreciate the replies.

I use a keyboard with my Xbox, and always do the commands from there. Apparently, the contact signaler command doesn't work for Blackpool Branches. It does on other routes so you would assume it works here. Also in other locos there is usually a radio you can use to contact signaler, but there isn't in these shunters.

The command does actually work from the Xbox controller though, so thanks.

It would be a lot less confusing if everything worked consistently.
