Why do I have 2 of Arizona Divide: Winslow - Williams Route Add-on in my installation with the same size of 2.57 GB? Do I need them both or I can uninstall/delete one of them?
One should be an unbranded and the other a branded version. Because there was a licensing thing in the past. Some years ago was somewhere an info which assest must be ticked on to have the branded version in the steam DLC list, but I dont know anymore which one it was.
There was a licensing issue with BNSF, with DTG not being able to use their logo outside the USA, so these routes were released in 2 versions: one for the USA and the other for the rest of the world. This issue was resolved a few years ago, so the BNSF logo can be used for the rest of the world. That is why you have 2 versions in your library. I did ask DTG why they don't remove the one that is no longer required, and they gave some pathetic excuse why they couldn't. Sorry, but I cannot remember what the reply was.
Just deleted one of them and I was lucky to delete the right one. Just because of this BNSF license it makes you have a lot of extra unneeded files on the computer. Those files I untick and I always take pictures on what I untick so for the next new reinstallation I know which files I do not need on the computer(TSC). I think DTG could fix this so you do not need to install unneeded files.
If you check your DLC:s in steam I suspect that there is an 'Arizona ROW assets' or similar? Untick it to get rid of the extra files. I brought the route later so I only have a 'Arizona US assets'. At least that is the way the Clear Creek works.
This has noting to do with the ROW files. It is a separate file. I had 2 of them. I unticked the lower one and I still have the BNSF logo on my locos.
