For some reason after downloading the Class 156 and 158 packs external sounds are still heard when in cab or passenger view

 

How do you mean by External Sounds?

 

The sounds that are heard on exterior views for some reason still play when I'm in cab view or passenger view. I'm just wondering if there's a solution to fixing this. It's not unplayable but definitely mildly frustrating.

 

This is happening on the 156 and both Cummins and Perkins 158s

 

It depends on how AP have set up the sounds.

The sound heard in the Passenger view will be similar to the external view as you are sat on top of the engine
The Cab sounds normally have a quieter version when in the cab.

Unless you know how to edit sounds there is not much you can do.

 

Man that's frustrating especially because my Cummins 158 sounds in cab view worked perfectly fine before I got the Perkins 158. Before it sounded like I was actually sat in the cab and not stood outside the train. It's not unplayable just slightly annoying

 

The Cummins engine is obviously far superior to the Perkins engine!

More liveries and I live in Northern territory where there's a lot more Cummins 158s. But yeah slightly annoying how the Cummins sounds worked before I also bought the Perkins 158 but not after. The exterior sounds have played over the interior sounds ever since. The Perkins 158 as well as the AP 156 have had this problem as soon as I bought them

At 3:0 the train starts away in the cab and it is a lot quieter that the exterior sounds.
If yours is not like that then I would contact AP from the link on their page
They might know an answer to your problem
