I’m still not sure if Xbox is actually getting a preorder for the arosa linie , so can anyone confirm if there is a preorder ? Thanks I also hope that if there is no preorder then Xbox gets a discount , as it wouldn’t be fair if PlayStation and steam got a discount but Xbox didn’t ( not sure if this is a decision dtg get to make though )
According to Rivet Games Twitter, there will be a pre-order for XBox but no discount. Playstation do not have a pre-order but PS Plus subscribers will get a discount at launch.
Latest word is that there is no pre-order on xbox. From Jasper (Rivet’s CM) on another thread... “There is no pre-order on Xbox - seems to be some kind of misunderstanding. :/“
Why would you want to pre-order a game unless there was a discount? It’s not going anywhere on release date.
With digital distribution, it's not like you have to line up outside the game store the night before lest they sell out......
This has been answered many times before. The reason consoles usually miss out on preorder discounts (and the sales in general) is because Microsoft and Sony have to approve them. It's rare for them to actually approve a preorder or launch discount. On the other hand, Steam almost always allows publishers to put preorder discounts and allows significantly more sales throughout the year.
Providing that rivet games can get the arosa line released with little to no issuses(fingers crossed)It just might be the 1st route worth full price.(I'm all ready kicking myself for being overly optimistic about it).
It was said in the newsletter preorders will be up shortly for Xbox but that did not happen. I don't recall seeing any DLC to preorder on Xbox...just games. I am expecting it will show up midnight your local time on the release date like other TSW DLC. Just one more week.
It used to make me laugh when I worked in a well known supermarket (the one where very little helps) that when a big game was imminent, people would give us five pounds to “pre-order” a game, in return for which they would get a receipt. No copies were ever reserved for people ordering upfront. They just picked up a copy off the shelf and the fiver they had already paid was taken off. Presumably they thought they were reserving a copy but they weren’t at all, They were just loaning us a fiver.
so, if theres no pre order then thats false advertisement, also if ps and steam gets discounts and xbox players dont then wheres the fairness in that
there's never fairness in sales and discounts to get the discount for ps4 you need ps+ subscription. again DTG and Rivet don't decide on if they can do discounts for consoles and from my understanding on both ps4 and xbox stores you can't pre order add on's (if anyone does know you can and gives an example then do please say). is it false advertisement not really as well they haven't taken anyone's money and they have rectified the mistake
dovetail actually did pre orders for northern trans pennine when that came out a few years ago when it initially released
hmm seems so long ago but other than that i can barely remember i think though for ps users it was only available to be pre ordered in europe though. anyway i thought it was quite pointless anyway if we could pre order it because we wouldn't get a discount and it's not like it's going to take 2 hours to download.
It’s not fair, nothing ever is, and I don’t know how they have managed to announce a pre-order on xbox if there isn’t one. The lack of a pre-order doesn’t really matter that much. It would if it was attached to a discount like it is on Steam, but alas the ‘not so clean’ end of the stick again for xbox players, no discount at all. A rare discount for ‘some’ PS4 players, and the PC players get their usual discount, of course. This comes up every time a route is released and I don’t think it’s likely to change. I’m used to it now but it does still niggle a bit when you see someone else getting something you aren’t.
If dtg wants to keep releasing broken dlc and useing it's paying customers as backdoor beta testers they deserve something for it.
Trust me, preordering games is what allows companies to keep making unfinished products that are buggy. When you already have your money you don't have to release a finished product that is polished. There is a reason why almost all games come out now just broken and requiring patch after patch from release day. If people would wait, it would require companies to actually make a proper product before sending it out to the masses. Just saying lol!
