1A02, 06:02 Leeds to Kings X, Left Grantham and noticed that the speedometer HUD very briefly showed a speed limit of 25mph and that I was over-speeding. So went to take a look…and found this at the back… The train didn’t technically derail; the points somehow switched so the rear bogie on the very rear end of the train switched paths. It was still sat upon the railhead. Unsurprisingly, after carrying on a little further, hoping at the end of the siding the bogie would switch back onto the correct track, and suddenly the train derailed, hence the game ended. I gave 2 more attempts , and found that if I reverse the train so the bogies switch back into the correct line, and ran over the points again, all should be well. But why am I having to do this? Isn’t it bad enough that a player is having to perform an extremely tedious process to complete their journey in one go? Wouldn’t this add onto the huge and increasing pile of bugs and errors found by players instead of developers who do not seem to be acknowledging half of these complaints well? Before you pity me, I had saved the game once I pulled into Grantham, so retrying twice didn’t take long
Given you used the save feature that's probably why. Have you tried without it to see if the same issue occurs?
No not yet; will give it a try without saving when I get a chance. I understand there are many bugs encountered by TSW players, but certainly one like this should be given high priority.
