I recently picked up the old Atlantic High Speed route (it's still for sale at ATS). However, I can't get it to load. I pick my scenario or quick drive just fine, hit start and the sim transitions to the normal loading splash screens of the latest advertisement or user screenshots. However I rather quickly get the telltale "your route is loaded" "POP" sound, and the loading freezes. The splashscreen slideshow stops but the looping background train sounds continue as normal. It never progresses from here. I own every single UK, DE, CH, and AT route available through DTG and RSSLO, plus a bunch of French, Dutch, and Belgian freeware routes. All of them load just fine. Except for AHS. Any ideas?
Didn“t noticed that the route is anymore on JT available? However. That happens with every scenario on that route and other start points in QD? Already tried another train? TSC started in 64bit? Could be perhaps a problem with the route, .... oh moment, I'm not sure, but it could also be one of the very few routes that doesn't work in 64bit version since the introduction of that. So perhaps try it by starting your TS in 32bit. (By now it exists, but I believe future plans for TSC dont include a 32bit version any longer, so if this might be the solution someday that will no work anymore too). Generally are addons by AHS seens not very good compatible with modern versions of TSC because some rollingstock of their "newer" route Ashford - Lille (not available anymore) dont work too since DTG had made core-updates. So same might be for the older Atlantique High Speed.
THanks for the tips about 32bit. I've tried multiple scenarios and multiple rolling stock, from the TGV included with the route to others. Same result. I'll try running it in 32 bit and see if that may work, as your explanation makes sense. Thanks!
For the AHS route, this must be stored on the desktop TGV Viewpoint Switcher, otherwise the route will not be loaded
The downside to running anything but the default TGV is the cab signals don't work with other stock. AHS made the Class 373 and the Ashford - Lille route which also does not work with the latest version of TSC. Spikee1975 showed the way to create an earlier version of TSC before the update and the Eurostar still works.
Ok thanks all. Got the route to work and it was an issue of the old, AHS route not willing to load in 64 bit. Running in 32 and it fired right up.
