Xbox Series X Audio Popping Still

So it was said that audio popping was fixed with the Xbox audio update and I was doing a run in the 390 and I could still here popping in the audio.

Also just test driven the class 47 popping is really bad on there hopefully this can be sorted out as it’s quite distracting and annoying

 

Well that is strange. Sorry to hear this. The audio on the 390 & 47 seems to be fine for me. Hopefully will be fixed up soon. Let’s face it, the launch has failed the most on Xbox along with some previously purchased DLCs not appearing on the Xbox add ons section for tsw5. This issue is also being worked on though.

 

Btw the video link to the proof says private when I visit it. Not sure is that’s for everyone or just me.

 

Class 350 has a popping sound for me too. Mostly audible over around 80mph. This was supposed to be fixed?
Can be heard 9-10secs into the clip..

 

Might need to check my settings on my xbox

Also this is annoying because the popping happens 30mph+ which is then quite annoying because you've got to put up with it which can get frustrating as well

 

The class 20, you can hear pops as soon as you swap into the train.

I had no clue what you mean with popping but now i have seen some videos im on pc/steam and noticed this also sometimes. Not really often but on rare occasions. There is no reason special to identify the problem.

 

On xbox it is not a rare occasion, it's all the time. So yes, there is a need to identify the problem.

 

Yeah, apparently all the xbox audio was rebuilt, so not sure what's happened.

Whilst not a popping issue. I thought I'd post it here, save having multiple threads on the state of Xbox audio.

Bad looping on the horn is still a thing? Even after the audio was rebuilt. This can be fixed, because it used to happen with the 09 on WSR. It was fixed along with the remaster.

yeah, I still have the audio popping issue. I always notice it on the high speed trains from the inside view.


I have to say though that overall, the sound IS much better.

Yeah, it would be good to get some communication regarding this. It really spoils what is an otherwise good experience.

 

I’ve noticed that although some sounds are much better on the Xbox now, since TSW5, there is still popping/looping going on. In fact this is the same on the PlayStation too. It’s only PC where you don’t get this. Sounds are a huge part of the immersion for me, even more so that ultra graphics I’d say. I would love to see this improved on the consoles if possible

 

Sorry to say again but can we have a update about audio popping cause with WCML over Shap is seems to be getting closer it would be nice to sort it out mainly for the 47 but for all trains DTG Jamie

 

Yes, an update would be good. Nothing was mentioned in the roadmap stream. It really isn't a pleasant experience.

 

Another thing I have noticed with audio popping it's ventured into the loading screen for when loading up the game

 

Still no acknowledgement of this, or a timeline for a fix.....

Just done a run on the 350 and 90mph above it is popping constantly. I could get a list going of what locos suffer from this issue. I really do want this issue fixed because as I mainly drive from the cab view and this is where it is happening and I do find it annoying and irrating

 

This is concerning. I’ve had this and the looping on PlayStation 5 :/ Thought popping was isolated to Xbox

 

Also on PC and worst of all the Class 87 on WCMLoS. However seems to be not route or train related, more of a core issue as I also had it on Edinburgh to Glasgow with the 385.

 

It does seem to be a core issue as it happens on quite a few routes and trains.

 

Any updates at all?

 

It's March and Cardiff city network has just been released. Guess what? Still popping sound! This needs to be sorted dovetail seriously it's ridiculous now It really annoys me

 

Didn’t Chris respond in another thread that fixing the stutter/audio squelching and popping was eluding them? Well they need to be spending some of the wad of money they’re getting for the glut of new releases on buying in some programmers who can sort it.

 

I think this "popping" is unique to Xbox. It's basically on top of the game wide problem of audio cutting out.

 

They really do need someone to sort it. But with the sales rolling on, where is the incentive?

Yeah the 153 pops are loud and really annoying which I was looking forward to driving it and now the excitement has been ruined

 

There must be a whole pile of tickets, curling and going yellow on someone's desk.
