I'm from Sydney, Australia and I've been playing TSW for some time now, but one country that I feel is really needed in TSW is Australia.
I believe Dovetail Games should look into doing a route on the Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line - a 45km (27 miles) railway line starting at Bondi Junction station, heading through Sydney's City underground, through Sydney's Central station and out down south towards Sutherland, before branching off on two separate lines - The Cronulla branch line & the mainline towards Waterfall. There would be 2 depots and 1 maintenance centre along the line - Depot 1 being at Waterfall, Depot 2 being next to Cronulla station and the single maintenance centre being at Mortdale.
A total of 33 stations would be along the route with a variety of express, local and freight services. Rolling stock can include the Tangara T set, built in the 1980s, the Oscar Intercity H Set, built in the 2000s as an express Intercity train and finally the New Intercity Fleet Mariyung D sets - these D sets are more of a 50/50 as they are new trains set to replace the Oscar H set Intercity services and are still undergoing testing and are hopefully set to enter service in the next few months. Another option is adding the D set at a later time as a separate add-on.
I believe this route would be a major success as there's been a lot of interest in Australia on TSW.
In regards to licensing for the route - Sydney Trains would have to be contacted, I coincidently know many people from Sydney Trains' media team and other parts of the company, as well as the government operator, Transport for NSW who would be able to help have the route licensed.
Many have explained (including myself) how they'd buy anything to do with Australian routes in a heartbeat.
Below I've attached a diagram showing off all stations on the route that I mentioned, as well as some photos of the rolling stock and stations along the route.
Like I said before, I can help get a license for this route as I know many people who work for Sydney Trains.
For anyone at DTG who may be interested please email me > tsetsinquiries@gmail.com

While an Australian route would be good (I enjoyed the ones that were created for MSTS), the sad fact is the region doesn’t seem to be one that would score highly on their LAMPOIL evaluation process. I mean for starters, how many payware Aussie routes are there for TSC? None that I’m aware of. Licensing, distance to travel for research vs. likely sales (assuming access would be granted) all seem to preclude the possibility. It would be a massive undertaking even for a local third party associate if one could be found, pretty much everything having to be built from scratch even down to the unique foliage.

Really needed but I can see you would also get South Coastline Services run on the 1979 built section
