Hi there, Instead of europe inspired Routes, Can we have an Australian Route e.g Perth To Kalgoorlie or one of the Perth (Western Australia) Metro Lines like the Mandurah Line with the Transperth B Series Trains
The Australian companies are being very stringent with who they give their license to. So no Australian route is going to exist for a while because without that license, no developer can make related content.
Honestly this is untrue, at least for Metro Trains Melbourne, who have licensed their brand for many games; of course many of these games do use characters from their dumb ways to die safety campaign, but they are still licensing their whole brand for these games to use
Unless Dovetail or any other developer can get a license, they can't make anything. It doesn't matter if someone else was given the license, they have to be given it themselves
Well you were saying no companies were letting out licenses, when that is a fabrication; There isn't even proof of the so called "Dovetail couldn't get Australian licenses" that people keep mentioning, some say Matt said it in a stream a long while ago, while others say it was said in the forums. It is not a good idea to quickly jump saying Dovetail can't get a license when there is no proof, or even proof that contradicts that statement, like the fact Metro Trains Melbourne has been keenly pairing up with different game developers for games based on their branding, whose to say they would say no to Dovetail? Honestly just let people suggest it, and if Dovetail one day tries, and fails, then maybe they will let us know, or maybe they will put it on hold until they can try again later. Remember not everything stays the same, companies change their minds and evolves over time, sometimes for the better, sometimes for worse, and sometimes companies lose control of one of their brands and a different company takes over which also allows for a change in mindset. Plus no one ever said Dovetail have to use modern branding; they could use what is already in the open domain like Victorian Railways, or more recently the VicRail that has only recently allowed heritage groups to use that livery on their heritage trains.

Never said these companies weren't giving out these licenses, I said these companies were very stringent, or "strict" if you will. I also never said they can't get a license. I just said without a license they can't make these routes
I agree and for the Mandurah Line, it goes through a Motorway Median and a housing Development Wellard. Click on my signature for it
Strewth cobber, some really excellent suggestions there. May I also add my personal all time favourite route from Wombat Creek to Kickagoolie. Some stunning scenery there that would bring a new dimension to the already superlatively brilliant Train Sim World.
