The "Passauerbahn" is an international route running from Wels (AT) to Passau (DE). On its 81 kilometres, you can get as fast as 160 km/h. The route is very important for freight trains travelling between germany and austria, but obviously also has many passenger services. For example: - R (regional train) and REX (regional express train) Route: Wels - Neumarkt-Kallham - Schärding - Passau Rolling Stock: ÖBB Rh 5047, Rh 5022 (equivalent to DB BR 642), Rh 4744, Rh 4024, CityShuttle + any ÖBB locomotive - IC (InterCity), ICE (InterCityExpress) an NJ (nightjet) Route: Wels (- Schärding) - Passau Rolling Stock: DB BR 4110, DB BR 411, ÖBB Rh 1116 + nightjet carriages So as you can see, there's a huge variety of rolling material on this route to see, but some of it is already in the game. The Rh 4024 is exactly the same as the one from S-Bahn Vblg and Salzburg-Rosenheim and the BR 642 only needs a repaint to be ready to operate on this route. Since we're getting the Rh 1116 with the Semmeringbahn, only thing left is the CityShuttle carriages to have another full realistic train for this route. Though I'm sure that nobody would be complaining about some new trains (which could layer on many other routes btw). For an R train service, which stops at all 16 stations, it takes 1h and 13m to get from Wels to Passau. The ICE only needs 43 minutes to complete the route nonstop. With all the AI traffic, which could be added at Wels Hbf and Passau Hbf, this route would be really fun to drive on. And for some shunting action, you could add Wels Vbf and the ROLA-Terminal, which are right behind the main station. Let me know what y'all think of this!
Phantastic suggestion! An another border-crossing route would perfectly fit the TSW4-style! I also would like to see CityShuttle wagons with a 1142 or the ICE-T in TSW! Good Idea!
This would be a nice route for RSSLO to cover in their range when they make add-ons for TSW 4. Might be worth mentioning this to them too mate .
