    INTRODUCTION

Hi everyone! Since this is my first suggestion here I came up on a idea to suggest this Austrian Route from Linz Hbf - Kleinreifling (some call it the “Rudolfsbahn”).

    ROUTE INFORMATION

This route is located in Upper Austria and the route length is about 70-80km long. The starting point is located at Linz Hbf (major station), passing St. Valentin and Garsten and it terminates either at Garsten or it will be extended to Kleinreifling. Some S1 continue to Kleinreifling every 2 hours and most S1 routes terminate at Garsten. The route is commonly seen as a single track (except for some stations that have multiple tracks) and it might get busy since there are many trains passing there. The route has a speed limits that reach up to (probably to 160km/h near Linz) but mostly its up to 80-100km/h. Sometimes they use „R“ as their destination so the people know that this is a Regional (same as S1) and the „REX“ is a Semi Fast which skips some stations that aren’t really needed to stop.

    PASSENGER SERVICES

S1: The route from/to Linz Hbf - Garsten usually takes up to 50 minutes and the extended to Kleinreifling takes up to 1h 45min.

REX: Same as S1 but shortened to (probably 30 - 40 min from/to Linz Hbf - Garsten).

With the extended route to Kleinreifling you get to see the beutiful mountains of Austria and drive almost on a single track. Passing the tunnel to Kastenreith and merge with the other track there from Amstetten route. Then a short way and then you meet at Kleinreifling.

    TRAINS

The trains that are commonly used in this route are:

    - ÖBB 4024
    - ÖBB 1116
    - ÖBB 1144*
    - ÖBB 4746*
    - Vectron

*= These trains aren‘t used in TSW 4 (only in TSW).

ÖBB 4024 and 4746: These are passenger trains which it can be used. They use their upgraded one but still the original just like in TSW4 that is the exact train that is still being in use.

ÖBB 1116 and 1144: Also known as the „Taurus“ can completely be used for Passenger or Freight services. Except that this train is only used for passengers if they carry their own coaches of the Cityshuttle.

Vectron: Mostly only used for freight services, they travel the same speed up to 80-100km/h.

    ANY QUESTIONS?

Feel free to ask any questions related to this route. Have a good day! :)
