Driving my first 395 service in a while, I noticed that the upcoming speed limit indicator on the upper-right of the screen is now always listed in mph when I am on the HS1 section. Also, the speedo on the HUD is now always indicating km/h. This using the "automatic" units setting. This is a change from previous behaviour. Before, both the upcoming speed and HUD speedo would reflect either mph or km/h, whilst within the same service, depending on your location on HS1. I believe this problem has been introduced as a result of one of the more recent updates. Although the upcoming speed changes being listed in mph is not really an issue when using TVM, since everything is right in front of you using the 395's own displays, it is confusing around Ashford and St. Pancras when the upcoming speed is expressed in mph but the HUD speedo is in km/h. My recommendation would be to return these displays to their previous function.
Just as an addendum, the speedo did reliably change from mph to km/h going from Gravesend to Ebbsfleet (the upcoming speed limit did not also change from mph to km/h, however). So, not completely broken. But, still inexplicably changed.
Yeah that is an issue only with High Speed 1. Don't know why, don't know when it will be fixed, but it is, thankfully, limited to a section of that route only.
