I’m probably just stupid but I can’t figure out how to reset the PCS after coupling to a cut of cars. It’s just fully open with brake pipes at 0. Can’t reset it when doing the emergency reset procedure and I’m stuck. Thanks for any help.

We need more info to help you.
What loco, what route and exactly what are you doing for the "emergency reset procedure".

midwest_rails No idea which loco you are using, but the general procedure after tripping the PCS is:

    1. Throttle OFF
    2. Reverser NEUTRAL
    3. Autobrake to EMERGENCY
    4. Wait 60 seconds - PCS light should start blinking / message on the display (not implemented in TSW)
    5. Autobrake RELEASE

The brakepipe should start charging now.

If that's not working it might be one of the many bugs. In that case use the I'M STUCK button in the Pause menu.

Using the ES44C4 on San Bernardino. I’ve used the reset procedure and it doesn’t work. The PCS is just always stuck to open after coupling to a cut of cars.

This only happens with advanced safety features on like cab signals. I’m sure this is intentional I’m just not skilled enough to know a work around. The brake pipe won’t recharge no matter what I do and if I disable and reenable cab signals the automatic is dead. This also happens with the SD40-2 but I somehow worked around that.

Make sure all the wagons have the handbrake released. You can do this on foot or using the 3d view. If you do it using the 3D view, after you release the handbrakes from the wagons get up from the drivers chair and sit again (this makes the game apply the advanced train physics on the train again). Then do the "PCS reset" procedure as explained above.

PS: Just tried this using service BSNF Y-CALCAL1 - Kaiser Yard Switching (starts 6:35am) from the WEEKEND timetable and it works.
