The AWS in my TS2020/1 is not working. At first I thought it was an issue with a workshop scenario that I subscribed to, but it is on all routes that I have. Where I had the nice "ding" coming to green signals and the warning of speed reductions for points etc, now I have nothing. Is there a setting that I am missing somewhere, or is this a new bug? All other ambient sounds work perfectly.

Check in Settings to see if you are on Expert or Simple controls

I am on simple controls, always have been and always the AWS worked, until recently. I am not sure that is the answer but I will try it out. Thanks for your input.

You are running the train on a route which has AWS?
Some of the older routes don't have it or only on parts of it.
Western Lines of Scotland is a route with only partial AWS

I have tried every route that I have, just now come away from the ECML KingsX - Peterborough and no AWS sounds at all.

OK, Peter, thanks for all your help, I have managed to figure it out and your 1st suggestion was the answer. I had never knowingly changed any settings since the sim worked well for me as it was on installation. Either something had changed or, for some unaccountable reason, I changed something. Of course, it's most likely to have been me but I have no idea of when or why. It's nice to have the "ding" back. Thanks. :)

Sometimes the Update to the core files causes some setting to return to default
Glad you have it working :)
