Despite DTG saying guard mode on the AWC 390 services wouldn't be available on launch it appears you can still indirectly access and use the guard mode on the 390 without any issues, although it still isn't accessible through the main menu yet.
Hi folks - we weren't aware that players would be able to access Conductor Mode on the Pendolino, however, we've talked about activating the new mode in our Known Issues list on our "Everything You Need To Know" thread. We don't recommend starting conductor mode from on foot, or from mid-session. You may be able to get it to work initially, however, from our testing, after you have activated this once, you won't be able to start it again at all, even after restarting the game. We recommend starting conductor mode from the main menu. I hope this helps, and our teams will continue to investigate how we can address this. Thank you!
I tried that and it just randomly spawns the player on a platform with only 2 minutes to run through the station to start the service. Also, the class 390 guard mode did not work for me. It wouldn't register that I had used the door controls.
We knew it was partially done but not working properly - hence we have not declared it ready for use and a part of the product. We're working on it. Matt.
It looks like a time issue to me. They probably ran out of time, but it does seem more likely now that we'll see it officially soon.
