Interior running sounds on 390 in training module when accelerating just sound wrong - it sounds kind of audibly looped.

In the training centre 390 module, the speed display in the hud shows in kmh but should be mph I think

 

DTG Alex Can we have a Core feedback thread too please? For example, on 5S44 I've noticed my crosshair disappeared and I couldn't interact with anything in the cab (yes, I checked the auto hide crosshair settings and changing it didn't make a difference). It only reappeared when I restarted the service. Also, when we X for view screen on the 390, you can't seem to interact with the screen? No crosshair shown??

390 Feedback/Feature Request - Functional Washer Jet - would be cool even though the trains don't get dirty in game

 

on xbox series x, there are no aws sounds.
every safety system turned on

 

PS5 - Was just thinking this too. Getting vigilance sounds, but no AWS sounds despite turning on at panel. Sunflower not lit either.

 

I'm on series X and when in cab there's a really faint but high pitched tone which is really irritating like tinnitus. It's definitely not my ears though as stops when paused or in a different loco. Don't known if that's how it's supposed to sound?

 

On Xbox Aws isn’t working when going over aws ramps despite being unisolated on series xi

 

it’s the air con. if you turn the AC off the buzzing will disappear after 30 seconds or so

 

For aws you have to turn on the aws fuse just above too - took me a few minutes to find it!

I would like to see an option to disable the A/C in the main settings of the game. It's incredibly loud on the 390, and as someone else pointed out it does your head in! And there does not seem to be a way I could figure out for how to turn it off in the coaches.

 

Took me a while to figure it out.
Also, if you're playing on PS5, remember that the AWS sounds are defaulted to play through the controller. You have to go into the controller settings menu to turn that off.

 

You need to turn the headlamp switch to hazard lights for them to work, the 'button' is just a light that shows theyre activated.

 

Sorry to bring up this again - but 390 audio sounds both accelerating decelerating below 45 are awful. It's looped and painful.

 

Please make the crew seats in the 390 crew areas usable. Some of these trains are packed with passengers!

 

When AI driving, speedo non functional - doing route learning from secondmans seat on 1H06

 

None of the driver's controls or displays seem to work with the AI. I'm just taking a ride in the secondman's seat too, and the Power Handle is even set to B6. The cabin is set up as it was at spawn in. PS5 train 9P47

 

disembarked at Milton Keynes, and observed the pantograph up at the front rather than the rear as the AI drove away. It also left with the crew door still open

 

Can I just say what a brilliant train this is. Loving it so far! Brilliant job DTG!!

 

Can I just ask what's missing on the GSMR? Because it's working fine for me.

 

Noticed when it is raining, on the top to middle of the left hand side of the windscreen (on the black seal) there is rain visible on the inside?? No where else on the black seal. Should only be visible on the see through parts of the window.

 

Ps5. AI 390s are using the wrong pantograph, it should be the back
-390 lacks any internal runnings sounds without the air con in the background

 

NITPICK
The Class 323s pantograph model is more accurate than the one you gave the 390. I think you should use that one going forward.

In the thing you get when you press and hold the white rectangle on the top of the PS5 controller, there are multiple references to ‘Exeterior’ rather than ‘Exterior’

 

lack of tilt test switch working not sure if it's not meant to work but it would be nice

 

Could we please have a keyboard shortcut for SPEED SET? That'd be very handy!

EDIT: Using SPEED SET seems to cause a TPWS Temporary Isolation/Fault that I can't clear. Not sure if this is a bug or prototypical.
EDIT2: Cleared on its own after a short period. Still not sure this would be prototypical behaviour given how long it took to clear, but still...

 

So I don't know if it's me but the writing on the panel look blury in some areas, I have a pretty decent PC so the game should be able to handle it but seems for example the headlight switches the writing isn't massively clear.

 

Also I've found that some of the UI when playing windowed doesn't stretch to fit the window size and some of it ends up with gaps on sides cause it's not filling the full horizontal canvas

So far to my ears, with what they've been able to do regarding sounds on the 390, in my book they've so far done a smashing job interior wise. Need to listen to it exterior wise but now that I've upset TASS, I'll give an update. XD

 

Ok, she's all happy atm, exterior wise besides an odd cutout of the recording, they've captured the important fans as it starts up. So far to me it sounds about as accurate as they could get it but I have traveled on them a fair few times over the years as well so I know my 390 sounds. As for the passing sounds, there's a whine that covers most of the sound but ever so faintly at the end I think they've got it, but I understand it's hard to get it accurate without a recording but Interior Wise for me, well done DTG.

 

One other thing I should mention is that the door from the kitchen to the passenger area refuses to close but the one to the cab does close fine. :/

 

Sometimes it does it automatically. Sometimes it just won't close.

 

Using a Rail Driver the Hill Start button is constantly being triggered. The documentation for the rail driver setup doesn't show having a button assigned for hill start. It would also be handy to have a button configured for speed set, perhaps the Range button as that doesn't have anything assigned according to the documentation.

 

PS5 - pressing the Circle button does not activate the Driver Safety pedal unless the timer has run down and the alarm is sounding. It should activate it at any time as you shouldn’t have to wait until the alarm sounds to reset it. I’m not sure if it actually resets the timer but the animation and sound do not play like they would in other UK trains in game.

 

I think it’s the context specific safety system feature they introduced ages ago on the German trains.

 

That does appear to be the case but it does take out the context of being able to release the pedal at any time. I hardly ever hear the DSD alarm when I’m driving UK trains as I press the circle periodically to reset the timer if I haven’t changed a control input within 45 seconds or so.

Same issue here, had to recalibrate, during calibration do don't pull levers to their full dead, otherwise you will get constant movement on AFB, Hill start, brake, throttle on all locos

 

PS5 - I have noticed that going round some of the corners the leading coach is tilting whereas the rest of the train is not. This is usually happening on northbound services. These images are taken on the approach to Bletchley.

 

On ps5 there’s a pantograph bug where AI drives with front pantograph instead of rear
